Not a great week last week, thanks mostly to Simon Whitlock being incapable of closing out the match when 7-4 up. However, the Barney result was a great one, we had faith and he repaid us with a wonderful 9-dart finish. What more could you want? Happy days!

I’m really looking forward to this week’s Premier League Darts, simply because I’ll be there. That’s right, I’ll be in the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle to watch the Premier League Darts. So, if you see the dartsbettingtips.com sign, say hello and you can buy me a pint 😉 It’s a great night of darts to come and some potentially brilliant matches.

Before today’s tips, I want to have a quick word about the favoured bookmakers for dartsbettingtips.com users. We’ve added a couple of prefered bookies and removed two just because we think there are better offers out there for darts bettors and we want to make sure you get the best value possible. Remember, take advantage of all the free offers from the bookies and you can have some nice risk free betting. Never just stick to one bookmaker! We’ll make sure we try and point out the best prices possible as well as the best free bets. Plus, we’ve got around £150 of free bets on offer below, so sign up for them all and have a great night of betting.

Victor Chandler as a well established name in sports betting and they really get behind the great sport of darts. They’ll give you up to a £100 free sports bet, as well as casino chips is you sign up there. There’s not a better offer available and I’ve taken advantage of this for tonight’s tips, and I think you should too. Hey, if the tips win, great, but if, for some strange reason, they don’t, you’ve lost nothing!

Boylesports are another great bookmaker for darts. They have a huge variety of markets and they have a nice £20 deposit bonus. You deposit and bet £20, they match it. Simples!

Stan James are big supporters of darts and we find their markets to be amongst the best when it comes to darts betting, which is why we proudly support them. Plus, their £25 match bet is a fantastic offer, probably the best out there at the moment. So, why not sign up, deposit and have a nibble on our first tip of the night and Stan James will match it:

Seriously, if you don’t have accounts at any of these bookmakers, sign up, deposit and use your free bet to have a dabble on tonight’s tips. Now that that’s out of the way and you’ve got your free bets, let’s get the tips going.

Adrian Lewis vs Ronnie Baxter:

Adrian Lewis came out this week and blamed some new darts on his shocking form. Fair enough. Not going to recoup any losses we had on him, is it? Anyway, he staged a great fightback to snatch a point from Simon Witlock when the Aussie looked home and hosed. Lewis averaged 99.54 and his doubling wasn’t too bad.

In contrast, Baxter averaged below 90 in his draw with James Wade. Wade blew his chances to take the match and Baxter, like Lewis can consider himself lucky to have taken a point from the match. However, he was averaging 10 points lower than Lewis and that can’t be ignored. Yes, Baxter has surprised everyone, but his averages haven’t been setting the world on fire recently and his doubling is starting to let him down. It might be that he’s bolted out of the gates, but it’s a marathon, not a sprint and he’s nothing left for the finish.

So, we have to go with Adrian Lewis here, looking at the prices. Lewis on form should destroy Baxter and he’s coming into the game with some confidence and he seems happy with his darts. As long as he doubles well, the game should be sewn up in no time. An exciting match to start the night and I’m confident of a winning start for us, too.

Mervyn King vs Raymond van Barneveld:

The old BDO heads facing each other, one in some woeful form, one coming into the match after a much needed confidence boosting win and a nine darter.

Mervyn King might be suffering from the same problem as Ronnie Baxter. He started so well, but has been playing some awful darts, not least last week when Phil Taylor done him 8-1 and King averaged 89.98. Definitely not good enough at this level.

Barney, on the other hand, played some great darts, but almost let Terry Jenkins back in. Barneveld is a confidence player and if he’s happy, he plays exceptionally well. If he’s not happy, he could lose to anyone. However, he was 7-2 up, which is encouraging and he averaged 98.43, which is seriously impressive considering the form he’s been in. I’m hoping this is a sign that Barney is back to some sort of form and the 8-1 demolishing of King by Taylor should set this match up nicely.

James Wade vs Simon Whitlock:

This appears to be match of the night, not least for the walk-on girl’s Dorothy outfit, but I digress… Both men have been playing reasonably well and James Wade has found some sort of form, although his draw with Ronnie Baxter should have been a win. It’s the same story for Whitlock against Adrian Lewis. Both men should have won and it would have done them the world of good in the league table.

I honestly don’t think there’s much between them in terms of finishing, scoring, form or bottle and it’s been priced accordingly. I would suggest the draw, but I hate tipping the draw, as it never screams outright value to me. However, both men can take some high numbers out to win legs and they’ll have to, so that’s where we’re going to look for our bet.

Terry Jenkins vs Phil Taylor:

Oh, Terry Jenkins, what has happened to you? He could often be relied upon to score heavily and take some high checkouts out on the way to victory, or at least pushing the top players. He’s seemed a spent force in recent weeks and his league position belies that. This should be a procession for King Phil, especially after his performance last week. Look at it this way: Jenkins averaged 92.79, Taylor averaged 100.44 and he didn’t need to get into full flow. This will be a cakewalk for the man at the top of the league and there is, as is often the case, no value to be had in the markets. Enjoy the match, enjoy the high scoring from Taylor and feel a bit of pity for Terry Jenkins, as he’s facing a man seriously coming into form.

Recomend: No bet.
