Premier League Darts 2013 Night Five (Nottingham) Premium Picks.
Another week and another round of Premier League Darts action, this time coming from the home of Robin Hood, and, funnily enough, Robin Hood Airport, Nottingham. A bit more excitement promised this week, as last week saw a fair few one-sided affairs, which I’m sure Barry Hearn wouldn’t have been too happy about. However, he’ll have been more than happy watching Robert Thornton hit an average of over 109 in his demolition of Gary Anderson. Not much else to write home about, although James Wade’s fightback against Phil Taylor wasn’t bad, even if he did rely on The Power missing plenty of doubles.

James Wade.
Another curtain-jerker slot for Robert Thornton. What does he have to do to get a plum mid-evening draw? Still, he’s undefeated and will be pleased with his form. James Wade will also be pleased with his point last week, and he’s starting to play better, especially on the doubles. Thornton, however, is the man in form and I don’t think he’ll let Wade in as often as Taylor did.

Raymond van Barneveld Vs Andy Hamilton.
A big night for Andy Hamilton, as he’s won 2, lost 2. Sitting on 3 loses wouldn’t be pretty, although I think he’ll be safe from relegation. Barney is ever so slowly creeping back to his best, scoring heavily and hitting his doubles when it matters. He’s the second best Dutchman in the Premier League, and he’s playing better than The Hammer.

Adrian Lewis Vs Michael van Gerwen.
There’s a rule in physics that for every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction. Obviously the reaction to the rise of Michael van Gerwen is the fall of Adrian Lewis. 4/9 MvG? Fair enough. Too short, though. But there’s a bet I really like…

Phil Taylor Vs Gary Anderson.
Once upon a time this would have got the juices flowing. But now it’s a bit of a sideshow until Gary Anderson’s form picks up. Will it pick up? Sure. Just look at Barney. Will it be tonight? Probably not.

Wes Newton Vs Simon Whitlock:
Another closing slot for Simon Whitlock. It did him no favours last week against Raymond van Barneveld, but he’ll fancy his changes against Wes Newton. Newton got his first win last week, but Whitlock won’t be the same kind of pushover that Adrian Lewis was.
