It’s time for our most popular article of the week – that article where we provide the golf betting tips for the week.
Last week, we absolutely killed it in the LPGA and had a few close finishes in the tournaments. We were just a couple of strokes away from a massive 80/1 winner, but in the LPGA we got a 100/1 2nd place, and a really hot 18/1 winner.
Here are the betting slips showing those:
Very, very nice.
We have 4 tournaments we are providing golf betting tips on this week.
HSBC Womens Championship Betting Tips:
After last week, we figured we best start with the LPGA.
This event takes place at the Sentosa Golf Club, and sees the return of the awesome Lydia Ko. To no surprise, she is a heavy odds favourite at 10/3. Honestly we wouldn’t hate a bet on her. It’s still early days though so only bet a unit at best.
We do recommend a bet on last years winner Paula Creamer. She’s on a really bad run of form, but she’s got the course history here. She won it last year and came 3rd 2 years ago. She’s a heavy price of 66/1 so it’s one of those bets where you don’t think about it – you just do it, knowing there is value.
We also have to go with Azahara Mounoz. 30/1 is a big price but she’s coming into this with some good form, and has solid history here. She’s not cracked the top 5 in the LPGA this year – but this could be the course where she does it.
Africa Open Betting Tips:
Only the one betting tip for this one, which is Jaco Van Zyl. He’s 2nd favourite at 14/1 but it’s still a price with value considering his course form. He’s also coming into this one after 2nd place in the Joburg Open.
This is the time of year where Van Zyl plays his best golf, and we’ll be backing him at E/W.
Puerto Rico Open Betting Tips:
In the poor mans PGA, it’s a very open field with a lot of the top golfers gone. And then all teh golfers who ARE here are of course on bad runs of form.
We honestly wouldn’t hate it if you skipped this week – we’d probably recommend it. We’re betting it because we enjoy this tournament. Call us crazy but it’s pretty cool seeing all these golfers with a chance when they’re all off form, and it can be ripe for upsets.
We’ve got a small bet on last years winner Chesson Hadley and another small bet on Boo Weekley. Anything can happen this week.
WGC Cadillac Betting Tips:
Super Rory comes into this one as the heavy favourite at 11/2. Gotta love it as it makes practically every other bet +EV haha. We’ll be betting Bubba Watson at 16/1 and Branden Grace at 60/1. The latter just a small half unit or quarter unit bet.
