It’s the first LPGA tournament we’re offering betting tips on since the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic. For those new to the site – that was the one where we correctly tipped the 40-1 winner of the tournament, Mi Jung Hur.
Last year, the Reignwood LPGA Classic had an incredible ending. Shansan Feng, who is from China, won it on the last hole with an eagle. Even if you aren’t a fan of womens golf – that was something really sick, and I’d recommend looking online for highlights of it.
That was the actual debut of the Reignwood LPGA Classic, which takes place at the Pine Valley Golf Club in Beijing.
Before we get into the LPGA Betting Tips, let’s check out the betting odds:

Reignwood LPGA Classic Winner #1: Mi Jung Hur
Mi Jung Hur is a golfer who can go hot and cold. When she is cold she will get cut a lot. When she is hot? Well, her last 3 performances have been 9th, 3rd and 1st.
She didn’t play at this course last year. However based on her consistency and how she forms, we think she is worth betting at that 20/1 price. There is a strong chance that she rides the hot streak with this confidence she has, and takes this one down or is thereabouts.
Reignwood LPGA Classic Winner #2: Stacy Lewis
This is one we are going to be betting OUTRIGHT, not E/W.
Lewis came 2nd here last year. She was consistent with her golfing throughout in every round, and was incredibly solid. The only reason she lost was due to two ridiculous rounds by Feng(two 64s), and then that eagle at the end to steal the win by 1.
She also came 2nd in the Yokohama Tire LPGA Classic. Lewis is the 2nd favourite here and that’s well deserved. However we think her odds are solid, and represent enough value to bet outright.
Reignwood LPGA Classic Winner #3: Na Yeon Choi
Na Yeon Choi, priced at 10/1, is a solid pick that we’re going to go with as the final potential winner.
She hasn’t golfed since the Evian Championship in early September. There she took 5th. Prior to that, she was also tied for 5th at the Portland Classic, and came 2nd in the Canadian Pacific Women’s Open.
Last year, Choi came 5th at this very event and we think she has what it takes to be in the Top 5. She’s just leaps and bounds ahead of most of the competition. She had a really odd time here last year as well – she led Round 1 with an incredible 64. However she had 71 and 72 in the Round 2 & 3, and then 69 in Round 4. That shows how difficult this course can be that she can have 71-72 and yet still manage to get in the 5th spot thanks to that one good round.
With some consistency, Choi can bring us in the money.
REIGNWOOD LPGA CLASSIC RESULTS & ANALYSIS:
Mi Jung Hur could not continue her excellent form. She still shot -4 but had some bad rounds including a brutal 77 on the final round. Up until then, she was looking good for a top 5 finish.
Lewis was another one that cost us – she ended up 1 off 3rd place and was tied for 6th.
Choi played average the whole tournament, and came in tied for 19th also at -4. Overall 3 solid picks that just did not work out this time.
