Let’s get onto the ISPS Handa Wales Open Betting Tips where we pick 3 potential winners who we recommend betting on:
Wales Open Winner #1: Joost Luiten
It’s no surprise that Joost Luiten is the favourite here. Luiten came 4th last year with -3, and tied for 2nd the previous year with -5 along with 3 others. He’s a very consistent golfer who has did really well at this course.
On top of that, Luiten has regained some form at the moment with top 10 finishes in his last two tournaments.
All signs point to Luiten getting a top 10 finish at least here, and we’re going to bet on him as winner of the tournament.
Wales Open Winner #2: Gregory Bourdy
Bourdy comes into this one at 35/1 to win the tournament. He came 2nd here in 2011, tied for 14th in 2012 and won the tournament last year.
The high odds represent great value for Bourdy, who is very familiar with this course. He’s yet to pick up a win this season, but he had a cash in the KLM Open which will hopefully reinvigorate him. We’d price Bourdy at approximately 20/1 so we’re getting some nice value there.
Wales Open Winner #3: Simon Dyson
Dyson was so unlucky in the KLM Open, but he’s been running hot lately. 2nd in the KLM Open he was also 7th tied in the 71 Open D’Italia.
Last year in the Welsh Open he was tied for 18, and he’s also had a few solid finishes there in the past.
He’s a dark horse to do it but we think he could be the man to do just that. He’s 20/1 odds and this is one where we think he can go into the final round amongst the top 5. This is one where it’s best to bet at a betting exchange. You bet him at the high odds(currently 26/1 at betting exchanges) and then you trade off when he is running up the leaderboard. Or just bet him outright and hope for the best.
ISPS HANDA WALES OPEN RESULTS & ANALYSIS:
A great win on the European Tour, with Joost Luiten, the favourite, winning it for us. He was a 12/1 price and dominated from the very first day. He hit a par on the final day but thankfully his work in the earlier rounds was enough for the win:
Simon Dyson withdrew, so no money wasted there. Gregory Bourdy just could not get going, and was cut after round 2.
