We’re coming into the LPGA LOTTE Championship red hot, after tha tmassive win 2 weeks ago at the LPGA Kia Classic. We tipped Cristie Kerr in that one and she duly delivered, at very sexy 66/1 betting odds.
Doubt we’ll get a win like that again this season. But trust us – we’ll try our best!
This week the LPGA is in Hawaii, at the Ko Olina Golf Club for the LPGA Lotte Championship. This event became part of the tour in 2012, and has had 3 events thus far. In 2012, the Japanese golfer Ai Miyazato won it, shooting a -12 and beating Meena Lee and Azahara Munoz by exactly 4 strokes.
2013 saw the Norwegian Suzann Petterson win it. That one was a playoff in a great tournament and she defeated Lizette Salas. Last year, the victor was the American Michelle Wie. That was a thrilling last day as Wie shot a -5 and won by 2 strokes, after Angela Stanford shot 1 over par, and had to settle for 2nd place.

LPGA Lotte Betting Tip #1: Suzann Pettersen
We’ll be backing the Norwegian to repeat her form from 2 years ago, and hopefully win the event. Or at least come close.
Pettersen did not participate last year. The year before she won it in a playoff where she played some excellent golf all throughout the tournament. She’s not one for freak rounds here – it’s all about consistency. We saw that the previous year where she came 6th. She actually had a 2 over par round that hurt her there too.
She’s coming into this off a good finish in the ANA Inspiration, where she came 8th. She also had a 7th and 12th finish in February and March. Really the only concern with Pettersen these days is how good the other golfers are. She’s usually going to be consistent and get a good place – how high, depends on the others.
We’ll back Pettersen, especially with the absence of the likes of Lydia Ko and Stacy Lewis, to get that much needed top 5 finish.

Nothing we could do there. Pettersen was playing well – finished round 2 at -3. Looking good – and then had to withdraw due to injury. Sucks but it happens.
