Welcome to this weeks LPGA Betting Tips. This week we head to Michigan at the Blythefield Country Club for the Meijer LPGA Classic.
We’ll be hoping for similar results as last week. While we didn’t get the win we came bloody close with Lydia Ko. She was in the lead with 7 holes to go, but unfortunately ended up in 2nd place one stroke off the lead as Chella Choi and Ha Na Jang went to a playoff, with Choi winning.
The Meijer LPGA Classic became part of the LPGA tour just last year in 2014. In that tournament it went to a playoff between Mirim Lee and Inbee Park. Mirim Lee won. That was a very frustrating tournament for Suzann Pettersen. While the above two both had 70 days and she shot under 70 every day, she still came one stroke off the lead to come in 3rd.
She will not be participating in ths 2015 Meijer LPGA Classic.
Inbee Park goes into it as the heavy favourite at 5/2 odds, while last years winner Mirim Lee is a whopping 45/1. Of course we looked at her stats but there’s nothing to suggest she has course form so we will not be betting her. Here’s the full betting odds before we get to the tips:

Meijer LPGA Classic Betting Tip #1: Haru Nomura
I do believe it is our first time tipping Haru Nomura, who is a heavy 125/1. You may wish to bet just a quarter of a unit on her although we will go the full unit.
Haru had a good result at the Meijer last year – coming in 4th. She had 4 solid days with 70-67-69-68. I always like 4 solid days like that as opposed to Mirim Lee for example who had 70-64-67-69. I much prefer seeing the consistency.
Nomura has had a poor season but turned that around last week in the Marathon Classic. Despite a tough field, she still managed to come in 11th for her biggest cash of the season so far.
We think Nomura is vastly overpriced. While she has never really lit the LPGA on fire – this could be a solid tournament for her especially with so many of the big guns missing.
Meijer LPGA Classic Betting Tip #2: Sandra Gal
Sandra Gal has had a very solid season so far. While she is yet to break the top 5, she’s had a lot of top 15 finishes and has generally played good, consistent golf. She’s coming off her worst result of the year in the Womens Opne, and we’re hoping the German can bounce back in style.
Last year she came 5th in the Meijer and showed she knows the course well. She was consistent and we were very impressed with her. We’ll be taking a bet on Gal at 45/1.
Meijer LPGA Classic Betting Tip #3: Amy Yang
We’ll take Amy Yang to win, at 14/1. Bet E/W too. Yang is coming off an amazing 2nd place finish in the US Womens Open and the last time she came 2nd in a tournament? She won the next one. She’s been on solid form all season and has good course history.
