This week in the PGA, it is the Quicken Loans National.
It’s taking place at the Robert Trent Jones Golf Club for the first time ever. It’s been around since 2007 and has 2 time winner Tiger Woods as its figurehead. Previously, it was known as the AT&T National.
Last years winner was Justin Rose who has impressively not just won it twice – but won it twice on two different courses. He won it at the Congressional Country Club last year, and at the Aronimink Golf Club in 2010.
He goes into this joint favourite with Rickie Fowler, in what is a very weak field in all honesty.

The Quicken National Betting Tip #1: Tiger Woods
We KNOW that Woods isn’t exactly in form at the moment – okay he’s bloody horrible, but considering the weakened field this could be a good bet.
The big tournaments are behind us for the time being and with this being an event that benefits his foundation – you have to expect him to put in a good performance.
Of course we’re not going mental. We’ll do a small quarter unit bet on Tiger and that’s it.
The Quicken National Betting Tip #2: Johnson Wagner
We’ve been watching Johnson Wagner closely these past few weeks and feel it’s time to pull the trigger.
He’s been playing some excellent golf as of late and that’s key with Wager – when he is on form he usually stays that way for awhile. He’s made 4 cuts and has 3 top 20 finishes in his last 3 tournaments.
With the weakened field, we like Wagner at half a unit at the 45/1 price. Let’s hope he can keep his heat up as he is one of the strongest golfers in the field.
The Quicken National Betting Tip #3: Will Wilcox
When it comes to solid form – Will Wilcox is another who really stands out.
We ignored him at the Barbasol as we felt the course was too tricky for him – but he proved us wrong with his 2nd -16 in a row, as he came 2nd.
He’s actually had a very solid year too and the Alabama born golfer has had numerous top 20 finishes this season. He’s 40/1 and that’s a price we can get behind.
