This week, the PGA visits Mexico for the OHL Classic.
This event first became part of the PGA tour in 2007. Fred Funk won the first ever OHL Classic – although back then it was named the Mayakobaw Golf Classic.
It wasn’t part of the 2013 PGA season but it came back in 2014 as the OHL Classic where Harris English won it with the best score to date – a 263 and -21. The next year, Charley Hoffman would win it and English would only come 37th.

OHL Classic Betting Tip #1: Jason Bohn
Joint 3rd favourite in a tight group – we think Bohn can be a contender here and feel comfortable taking him E/W as well at that price.
Bohn has been in spectacular form lately with a 2nd place at the Frys.com Open and the 2nd place at the Shriners. He’s came out of nowhere and while he was a little bit weak last time out – he’s got the quality to do the business here.
He has to be coming into this confident with his last few finishes here. 19th, 3rd and 7th. It’s a course that really rewards his drive.
It is possible that he has peaked of course in form and is going downhill. So we’re going to be cautious and get him at just a half unit.
OHL Classic Betting Tip #2: Chris Stroud
Chris Stroud has some excellent course form here. He managed to finish in the top 5 an amazing 3 years in a row which is very impressive as it didn’t matter what his form was like.
Stroud hit some nice form 2 weeks ago at the Frys.com Open with a 10th place. It’s noce to see him make some cuts after 4 missed ones in a row.
Stroud had a rather brutal season though and only one top 10 finish so we’ll only be placing a quarter unit on Stroud. Even then at 28/1 it might be a bet you want to skip.
