It’s April 1st, and it’s time to provide you with a list of all of the sporting events that are occuring in April 2015.
It’s a big month, so let’s get to it:
April 2015 Basketball
The NBA regular season wraps up on Wednesday, April 15th 2015. The 2015 NBA Playoffs will then kick off on the Saturday, April 18th.
We’ll also see March Madness wrap up. We have the two games on April 4th, with the Kentucky Wildcats vs the Wisconsin Badgers, and the Michigan State Spartains vs the Duke Blue Devils.
The March Madness Championship Game will take place April 6th, 2015.
April 2015 Baseball
Major League Baseball begins on Sunday April 5th, 2015 with the Cardinals at the Cubs.
April 2015 Motor Racing
In the Formula 1, we have the following races:
April 12th: China Grand Prix
April 19th: Bahrain Grand Prix
With the usual practise and qualifying the day before.
NASCAR has the following:
April 11th: Duck Commander 500 @ Texas Motor Speedway
April 19th: Food CIty 500 @ Bristol Motor Speedway
April 25th: Toyota Owners 400 @ Richmond International Raceway
Horse Racing:
The Grand National takes place on April 11th, 2015.
Golf:
The big one is of course the Masters which kicks off on April 9th, 2015.
Other than that, in the PGA we have the Shell Houston Open on April 2nd, RBC Heritage on April 16th, Zurich Classic of New Orleans on April 23rd, and finally the WGC-Cadillac Match Play on April 29th.
The European Tour has a quiet month with just two events, the Shenzhen International on April 16th, and the Volvo China Open on April 23rd.
The Champions Tour has a similar quiet month. We have the Greater Gwinnett Championship on April 17th, and the Bass Pro Shops Legends of Golf which starts April 24th.
The LPGA remains nice and busy though. We’ve got the ANA Inspiration on April 2nd, the LPGA Lotte Championship on April 15th, the Swinging Skirts LPGA Classic on April 23rd and finally the Volunteers of America North Texas Shootout. That event starts April 30th.
MMA:
UFC has UFC Fight Night events on April 4th and April 11th. The former is headlined by Mendes vs Lamas, the latter Gonzaga vs Cro Cop II.
April 18th is UFC on Fox with Machida vs Rockhold. And finally UFC 186 in Montreal which now has Johnson vs Horiguchi as the main event.
Bellator offers up Bellator 136 on April 10th, and WSOF 20 is the very same night.
Football:
The NFL Draft is April 30th, 2015.
WWE:
We have WWE Extreme Rules on April 26th, 2015.
