Poland vs Colombia Betting Tips

Group H in the 2018 World Cup sees the second round of matches occur on Sunday, June 24th. Japan and Senegal will have played earlier in the day and then these two take the field.

Both teams will be wanting a win in this one after having lost their previous game.

Poland lost 2-1 to a tight Senegal team and had struggles creating goalscoring opportunities. It was a close game and Senegals goals were the result of a bad backpass and also an own goal. However Poland didn’t blow anyone away in that one.

Colombia lost 2-1 to Japan but they will feel very hard done by. There was a real game changer with Moreno being sent off and then the penalty. Despite that they performed well and will be feeling hard done by.

Hopefully a nice attacking game.

Poland Analysis:

Poland will really have to up their creativity in this one. To be honest I was very disappointed in their attack – Senegal played a wide open game and yet were still able to stop the Poles.

They switched from a 4-2-3-1 to a 3-4-2-1 at the half and they looked much better then so I have to hope that’s what they go with here. However in saying that Grosicki, Lewandowski and Blaszczykowski/Bednarek should have seen a lot more of the ball and did better. Zielinski and Krychowiak were both solid in their roles.

I do think Poland were a bit hard done by in that game though and deserved at least a draw.

Colombia Analysis:

I felt despite the fact that Japan had two deep midfielders and an extra man, Colombia still put in a solid performance and created a fair amount of chances.

What was very nice actually was despite going to 10 men, Colombia still remained positive throughout. What isn’t nice though? Thinking that the only reason for that was they were tactically inept at being able to adapt to that.

Watching via the tactical cam their defense was a mess. Arias is beyond horrible and if Poland focus on their left hand side then they should have no troubles. They just kept switching at the back and had seemingly no idea how to really adapt to having 10 men.

Poland vs Colombia Betting Tips:

A lot of this depends on if Colombia can plug in their holes or not. If Aria is playing Poland could seriously expose them down that flank. I couldn’t believe what I was seeing from him.

However I did like how positive Colombia were as well and am concerned about Polands creativity.

Thankfully, I don’t have to pick a winner. Both teams will come in feeling like they have to win and I think it’s got to be a good open game. The price is right and I’m going with 3 units on Over 2.5 Goals at 2.15 odds.
