The final group games of Group G in the 2018 World Cup take place on the 28th of June, 2018. Panama face off against Tunisia while England go up against Belgium.

Both Panama and Tunisia are already out of the World Cup, and both are playing simply for pride and not to end up bottom of the group.

Panama were not expected to do much in this World Cup and even scoring a goal should be an accomplishment for them, considering “No Panama Goalscorer” was the favourite for their Top team Goalscorer.

They can hold their heads high however after stopping Belgium from scoring for an entire half. Against England – well England ran them ragged but it was set piece city from the English.

Tunisia I feel sorry for. They deserved to lose against England but it was still a sad way for it to happen. Against Belgium they actually played pretty damn good – the Belgians are just that much better. Tunisia looked solid and stuck at it with a very positive attitude and I liked seeing that.

Both teams are simply playing for pride.

Not much point putting too much analysis into it in terms of beyond this game, but I think Tunisia can feel happy with their performances.

You look at things like the pass map against Belgium and they played solid. They played very positive football too and if they had did that against England, things might have turned out better for them.

I hope they can keep that solid performance and positive attitude up going into this one.

Panama Analysis:

Like I said in the opening, Panama shouldn’t feel too sad. When you look at their expectations and what they’ve did in the World Cup I think they can hold their heads high.

Yeah it sucks losing like that to England but there was a lot off set pieces and a flukey Kane goal. it happens.

I think Tunisia are the much better team and in situations where both teams have been eliminated, usually the better team rises to the occasion more. Maybe it’s a case of both teams not caring so skill comes into play more than usual with no nerves.
