It was a 1-1 night on the 24th of July with one Brazilian Serie B pick winning, one losing.
Our win was with Brasil de Pelotas. I liked their home form and my only concern was their ability to score. Against Boa EC however I felt they’d be able to bring the goals and they did just that with a 2-0 victory thanks to goals from Pereira and Assis.
We lost with our Both Teams to Score bet in the same league with Goias vs Coritiba. That was a frustrating one as Goias were held goalless for the first time since May 12th. Coritiba racked up the cards in that one with 4 yellows and then a second yellow that led to a red card.
Goias racked up a fair amount of shots with 5 on target and 3 off but couldn’t get the ball in the back of the net unfortunately.
The real killer was Giovanni missing a penalty for them in the 96th bloody minute. Absolutely frustrating that one. Coritiba now move up to 6th place in the league.
One interesting thing about switching from purely betting to tipping is I find myself more conservative in regard to games I analyze. For example I spent awhile today looking through Santos vs Flamengo looking for a potential tip. I kept going with various options before thinking nope you know what? I can’t advise anything on this game.
Yet if I was just betting, I would have basically forced myself to risk a bet just for the hell of it. So that’s one nice thing about running the tips site – is it holds me back in regard to what exactly I tip.
MLS Betting Tips: Houston Dynamo vs Philadelphia Union
Houston Dynamo come into this one near the bottom end of the Western Conference currently in 8th place. Philadelphia are 7th in the East.
The real problem for Houston this season is draws. In 19 games they have a 7-6-6 record. However at home they have won 6, drew 2 and lost 2 and have shown that they are generally a much better team at home.
Their home record largely depends on the quality of the away team too and luckily for us, Philadelphia are not a good away team with just 2 wins and 1 draw out of 9 games.
Houston are simply that much better at home. They’ve got a great offense with Manotas and Elis hammering them in for fun it seems.
I like Houston to continue their excellent home form here.

That’s the first 3 unit play since the regular tips began. For reference after I like a tip enough to advise it, I’ll go with at least 1 unit. Then I give it a second look through and look at other peoples opinions as well as news/previews etc. At that point I’ll upgrade the tip to something else (or remove it too if I see a lot of hate for it).
Just the one for the 25th. I’m not tipping the Europa League at this time as it’s just very tricky. Mon the Rangers.
