What a disappointing game MiPK vs Mypa was. MiPK were looking good for the win after a 33rd minute goal from Rafael. Unfortunately with 8 minutes left MyPa managed to score twice in quick succession to take the game.
We also got brutally unlucky with our 2.90 odds pick of KA Akureyri to beat Hafnarfjordur. Akureyri took a lead in the 65th minute and looked great for the win – then Hafnarfjordur scored an injury time goal to tie it up.
But hey that has me feeling okay. I’m all for admitting when I make a bad pick – I’ve made enough of those in my NHL tipping days – but it seems most things at the moment are just bad luck or variance. Reassures me that we’re still on the right track.
Anyway let’s get on with the tips for Thursdy, August 9th – another game without many domestic games going on so we’ll focus on the UEFA Europa League. Note that these are always tricky to predict especially at this stage of the season without a lot of raw data, so I’ll continue to keep the units small for now.
For reference, I have different strategies for how I approach a lot of tips. For this one for example I am looking for home teams floating around 2.00 odds then I analyze them and see if they’re worth backing.
Istanbul Basaksehir vs Burnley Betting Tips:
Burnley are in for quite the game when they head to Turkey for this clash. I wasn’t very impressed with Burnleys performance against Aberdeen. I watched both legs and really found them lacking.
Not sure what it was but I think going to this atmosphere is going to cause a lot of problems. Istanbul Basaksehir have a lot of quality to their team and my only concern is they are rusty.
They’ve actually got a lot of players that most fans would recognize such as Gael Clichy, Emmanuel Adebayor and Arda Turan. So they are no pushover.

Sturm Graz vs AEK Larnaca Betting Tips
Sturm Graz had no chance against Ajax unfortunately however they are still a quality team and I think they can get the goals against AEK Larnaca.
Sturm are a high scoring offensive team and I don’t think AEK Larnaca have what it takes to keep them out. AEK did however look good scoring against Dundalk.
I’ve got to think that this game should have the goals. Sturm Graz will be pushing hard after the Ajax result and AEK know how to score.
