A 1-1 day for a nice profit yesterday as our double came in.
We had Porto and Schalke both to win in the double. Both were nice convincing victories as Porto beat Lokomotiv Moscow 4-1 and Schalke beat Galatasaray 2-0.
Funnily enough I was debating adding Liverpool into it to make it a treble. I did the math and it just didn’t seem worth it. Not that I didn’t think Liverpool would give them a battering or anything but football is a funny old game. Plus I’m sure many of you have been burnt by adding a very short odds team to an accumulator over the years.
What a crazy game that was.
We lost with Dortmund or Draw over Atletico. It was an extremely poor performance from Dortmund who could not turn their possession into shots let alone goals. They passed the ball around very well and had 69% possession but were only able to muster up 4 shots – none of which was on target.
Bad time for them to have a bad night at the office.
Let’s move on to today – Wednesday November 7th, 2018. We’ve got more UEFA Champions League fixtures with a lot of interesting games. Benfica host Ajax with winning a necessity if they want to progress. Lyon look to take a grand leap towards progression with a victory over Hoffenheim, and Manchester United will go into a big game with Juventus already knowing how things worked out with Valencia vs Young Boys.

Juventus vs Man Utd Betting Tips:
This is a bit more of a shorts odds one but I’m going to risk a fair bit more on this one. Could backfire but I’m going for 3u on Juventus. Initially had 5u but I’ve been mostly betting 0.5u and 1u bets so far since doing the tips so I feel 3u is a good in comparison bet. Basically 3u is easier to lose – 5u with the units I’ve been betting is a lot riskier and approaching bridge jumping bet territory.
Juventus have a perfect record in the Champions League so far and are yet to concede a goal. They defeated Manchester United 1-0 at Old Trafford in a game they dominated and have made it to the knockout stages.
It’s just a case of tiers and skills and Juventus are a top tier team and Manchester United aren’t. United are starting to look a bit more positive in the Premiership but I’ve yet to see anything from them that suggests they can stand tall with the Italian giants.
If they are able to win or draw? So be it. Sucks to lose 5u but I just feel the odds are too generous. I don’t see Juventus taking their foot off the gas and I don’t know if United have the fight in them. I think Juventus should be below 1.50 and will bet accordingly.

Double of the Day:
Valencia To Win: This is pretty much “must win” territory for Valencia. Got to back them to get their first win in the Champions League here.
Lyon vs Hoffenheim Over 2.5 Goals: I mean both these teams showed in the last game they’re prepared to go for it. I loved seeing that. Lyon are the strongest team and should win so 2.25 is tempting but Hoffenheim look like they want that 3rd spot badly and will be prepared to go for it knowing City should beat Shakhtar.
