Sorry for no Italian Serie A tips for Sunday. Saturday ended up being a mess work wise and wasn’t able to get anything done. Was hoping to get MLS Playoffs going on but never had the chance either.
BTW what a result for Rangers yesterday. It’s incredible just how much better they are at home than away. If they could translate their home performances to on the road they’d honestly be a legitimate contender for the title.
Brazilian Serie A action this week which we’ll tackle with some stats based picks with just a few weeks left in the season. Let’s get to it:
Vasco da Gama vs Atletico Paranaense Betting Tips:
Atletico PR are currently 7th in Serie A and actually one of the most in form teams in the league, but I think Vasco da Gama might be able to sneak something from this game.
The bottom 4 teams get relegated and Vasco da Gama are barely hanging above the relegation zone so every point is crucial. Atletico PR are an absolute disaster away and have yet to win a game all season. If they had solid away form they would be battling for the title right now. As it is they are struggling big time.
Despite their low league position Vasco da Gama aren’t too bad a team. They’re struggling with conceding too many goals however Atletico PR just can’t score away with a 0.31 per goal average.
Vasco da Gama are worth a small play. I’ve been impressed with Atletico PRs push for the Copa Libertadores but when you look at their away form over the course of the season you have to back against them.

Palmeiras vs Fluminese Betting Tips:
Palmeiras are top of Serie A by 5 points and have a sensational home record. They’re playing Fluminese who are on 41 points and pretty much safe from relegation.
Palmeiras are just a leap ahead of Fluminese who are really struggling at the moment. They’re not going to be able to catch up on Santos and I think we can see that in their play – they are demotivated.
They’re also not too great on the road. Nothing bad but their last few games in particular we saw them pounded 3-0 by Santos and Flamengo.
I like Palmeiras to get a solid win here to move them one step closer to being the winners of the Brazilian Serie A this year. I’m honestly tempted to go with something like Palmeiras -2 but we’ll rein it in a bit.
