Thanks to the person who posted the link in the betnhl.ca comments yesterday – saw a bunch of new visitors. Hopefully you guys can comment on your football picks too as obviously there’s a lot more football than just hockey and I absolutely love betting on everything or analyzing completely random games.
It was 1-1 with the EPL tips yesterday.
We lost with Both Teams to Score in the Bournemouth vs Liverpool game. Really disappointed in Bournemouth in that one. I had thought they could maybe steal something from the game but they got thumped by a professional Liverpool performance.
Honestly that game has me rooting for Liverpool this season. I’ve got lots of fond memories growing up as a kid with Liverpool due to Souness and Dalglish. Plus as a kid guys like Rush, Barnes etc – hard not to be a fan of them. I’ve been pretty open ended about the EPL this year but I’m now firmly cheering on Liverpool. I just love some of their performances.
We won with a double of Arsenal and Man Utd. I was concerned about both teams handicaps so took them just to win and it worked out as Arsenal did what was needed and not much more with a tight 1-0 win over Huddersfield. I’d have loved to have backed Man Utd on the handicap but boy they are a tough team to back.
In case you missed it in the comments yesterday someone asked me about the Atlanta United vs Portland Timbers game. Too late to write up tips on that one but I did some analysis and I just think it’s hard to see past Atlanta. I’d take them for the win.
Empoli vs Bologna Betting Tips:
A relegation battle in Serie A as Empoli host Bologna. Empoli are 4th bottom on 13 points while Bologna are just behind them on 11 points. Both teams are quite evenly matched with not much separating them on the stats.
Both teams struggle to produce the goals although Empoli are a better offensive team – even then they barely average 1 goal a game. However their offense is ticking lately and they haven’t lost in their last three. It’s been awhile since Bologna have won a game.
Empoli should win but I think Bolonga have shown more risk when away and that’s a good thing. Saw those 2-2 draws recently with Chievo and Sassuolo on the road and I liked that. I think they can grab a goal in this one.

Parma vs Chievo Betting Tips:
This is an interesting game. Parma are playing above themselves this season for sure and they had a nice little run going before losing 2-1 to AC Milan.
If you look at the league table you may be surprised by the odds here but Chievo are really turning things around. They recently fired their manager and that has saw them pick up three draws in a row. Their defense is doing better and they got draws against Lazio and Napoli which is quite impressive.
That’s a good thing though. I think that Parma won’t underrestimate them and they will come in strong here. Chievo might just be experiencing that new manager syndrome which doesn’t last too long.
Beware it IS a risky enough pick but I do think Parma should be heavier favourites here.
