Whew – well my apologies for taking a couple of days off. I’m still recovering from the Vegas trip in terms of work – big backlog of work that has nailed me pretty hard.
Thankfully all settled now and ready for the Women’s World Cup which kickstarts this Friday. I’ll be posting schedules in various timezones later today.
I did start the month with a win with Liverpool winning the Champions League. Not really a surprise that one – boy were Spurs flat.. I get why they played Kane but in retrospect it was the wrong move. Bringing him on later in the game when he could have provided a spark would have been a good thing.
May makes the 4th successive month where I’ve lost more tips than I’ve won, but managed to log a unit profit ha. During the off season I’ll be pouring over my stats to see where I can improve that and what plays I am making that I shouldn’t.
Of course there’s no true off-season in football and I’ll be here ideally every day.
We covered the Japanese J-League on Saturday and I went 1-1 with a profit. A 1u loss on Kashima to win as they ended up drawing but we had 3u on FC Tokyo to win and that was nice and easy as they thumped Trinita 3-1.
Today I will focus on just the one game – Portugal vs Switzerland in the UEFA Nations League semi final.
Portugal vs Switzerland Betting Tips:
Switzerland made it here over Belgium and Iceland. Goals galore was their aim as they put in 14 goals in 4 games including a 5-2 thriller over Belgium and 6-0 over Iceland Away they lost 2-1 to Belgium and beat Iceland 2-1.
Portugal were the opposite. Very tight games with 3 of their 5 goals scored in one match as they beat Poland 3-2. They won their group with two wins and two draws over Italy and Poland.
Portugal are the favourites to win in 90 minutes with home advantage at 1.66 odds. The draw is 3.90 and Switzerland are 6.00.
Portugal will no doubt play a tight game and only attack when necessary while the Swiss will probably play a more open game.
Cristiano Ronaldo will be playing and considering how they looked without him, you have to expect they will play a bit of a different style and be more explosive.
Curious about the Swiss lineup. They fielded 5 against Belgium with Xherdan Shaquiri in more of an AMC role.
I just think at home, and with the return of Ronaldo, we see Portugal step it up a notch and not mess around.
Switzerland however have the ability to score and what I love is how many different players have made it on the scoresheet for them.
