An excellent day with the MLS Tips on July 14th, as we went 2-0.
We had the Seattle Sounders to defeat Atlanta United. It was a solid and dominant performance from Seattle, and they deserved to win that one which they did 2-1, thanks to goals from Raul Ruidiaz and Harry Shipp.
We had a bigger bet on the New York Red Bulls to defeat New York City FC. That was a bit of a tighter one as the Red Bulls went down 1-0 early on. They got a penalty in the first half injury time to tie it up. That was scored by Daniel Royer who is my new hero, after he scored again on the hour mark to give the Red Bulls the big win.
NYC FC are still in a good spot for the playoffs however with two games in hadn.
There’s Champions League qualifiers on the 16th and 17th but honestly I just don’t feel up to backing them. Just feels like such a crap shoot trying to find decent odds picks. We’ll tackle the China Super League instead.
Guangzhou R&F vs Tianjin Teda Betting Tips:
Guangzhou R&F are currently 10th in the league with Tianjin Teda 9th, so it’s a proper mid table clash. Guangzhou R&F are a point behind Tianjin Teda.
Guangzhou R&F had a little winning streak going of two games however lost 3-2 last time out to Dalien Yifang.
They’re an excellent home team though with 5 wins, 2 draws and 1 loss. Tianjin Teda struggle away.
The one major weak point for Guangzhou R&F is their defensive record. They’ve conceded the most goals in the league at 39 goals. However they also know how to score with the third best record in the league.
Their defensive record at home however is at least slightly better but it’s still 1.75 goals on average they concede at home.
The bookies expect this to be a high scoring game but I am not too sure. Tianjin Teda are struggling to score lately especially away.
I think Guangzhou R&F can get a comfortable little win here.

Shanghai Shenhua vs Henan Jianye Betting Tips:
Shanghai Shenua are big favourites for this one at 1.53 odds but I am not too sure.
They’ve been on a bad run at the moment. They’re at home but honestly that doesn’t matter. They’ve lost 5 out of 7 here and are going against a team who aren’t playing too shabby at the moment.
In terms of the metrics they’re both fairly similar teams. In the league Henan Jianye are ahead of them by 8 points.
I’ve looked through and I don’t see any major injuries or anything that would cause issues in this one. So I think there’s a solid chance Shanghai Shenua don’t win. In saying that I could be missing something so just a minimal bet.
