A 1-1 day for another profit in the Brazilian Serie B on July 23rd.
We had a bigger unit play on Coritba to beat Vila Nova. They were able to do so with relative ease with goals scored either side of half time. I said I felt they would win 1-0 or 2-0 and 2-0 was the final score. Props to anyone who bet the correct score on that one or took the bigger risk of Coritba to win to nil.
We had a speculative play on the draw in Guarani vs Cuiaba for 0.5u. That one was looking pretty solid up until the 70th minute when Rincon Teixeira da Rocha scored for Cuiaba. Guarani tried but couldn’t get the much needed goal and it resulted in a loss.
Nice to continue the winning ways.
Looking at Thursdays games, there’s not really too much to back unless I want to get into the lower leagues of Finland. I had a quick glance but nothing stood out. So we’ll jump right onto Friday where the MLS is back with two games taking place. I’ll analyze both and hopefully have tips for them.
New York City FC vs Sporting Kansas City Betting Tips:
NYC FC are 5th place in the East and Sporting KC are 3rd bottom in the West.
NYC FC come into this one after ending a two game losing streak with a 2-1 win over Colorado. Not exactly a Champions League win but they’ll be happy to get back on track.
Sporting KC are an intriguing team as despite their low position in the league, they have been quite feisty away lately with wins over Vancouver and Columbus and a draw against Toronto FC.
Of course I am mentioning those teams for a reason – they just aren’t the same calibre of NYC FC. It was a bit of a dirty win over the 10 man Rapids, but I think they’re playing Sporting KC at just the right time. It was a couple of brutal defensive mistakes that caused them to lose to FC Dallas and I think they’ll be low in confidence after that.

Los Angeles FC vs Atlanta United Betting Tips:
LAFC are heavy favourites going into this one at 1.44 odds. They had a tough loss against the LA Galaxy in a fun top of the table clash, however are expected to bounce back against Atlanta United, who are 2nd place in the MLS East. It helps that Atlanta don’t have someone like Zlatan Ibrahimovic on the field!
A large part of that is based on Atlanta Uniteds away record which is dismal. They would be leading the East if not for that. Just 9 points in 10 away games is absolutely brutal and they have lost 5 games in a row away.
Interestingly Atlanta come into this one on the back of two wins. Of course they were both at home.
Despite their losses, Atlanta still are usually able to score at home and the stats suggest a 2-1 or 3-1 type of victory for LAFC. LAFC like to press high which can always leave opportunities. Atlanta should also be fired up after that big win over DC United. Atlanta have a solid defensive record but I think the LAFC offense will be too much for them.
