It’s time to take a break from the regular domestic league action again as the international break is here. It’s Euro 2020 qualifying time!
As a Scotsman….I couldn’t be less excited.
I just hope that our Nations League performances amount for something.
Although there is one more break for matches in November, a large portion of the groups are basically settled already in terms of qualification. Still a few tight ones though. Hope Iceland can beat France to really heat things up in Group H.
Let’s get to Thursdays games and the tips:
North Macedonia vs Slovenia Betting Tips:
Group G is one of those groups where it’s all still on the line. Poland will most likely make it through however Slovenia, Austria, North Macedonia and Israel are all battling for that 2nd place. Even then Poland still are on shaky ground so makes it interesting. North Macedonia have already qualified for the playoffs due to their UEFA Nations League performances.
These two teams played in Slovenia and drew 1-1. North Macedonia were thumped by Poland and Austria at home, while Slovenia have a 3 game winning streak including a victory over Poland.
Macedonia are big underdogs at 3.40 here with Slovenia 2.35 to win. They have said they are going to come out to attack and that should be good. They also have a team full of attack minded players.
I’m very tempted to take Macedonia to win or even the draw however I like this to be a must-win game that sees both teams push. Hoping this is a cracker of a match.

Holland vs Northern Ireland Betting Tips:
Holland are no surprise big favourites here even though they are behind Northern Ireland in the standings. That’s expected to be temporary. It’s really an intriguing fixture list for Northern Ireland as they got all the easy games out of the way early and came through with flying colours.
Now they have Germany and Holland twice. They already lost 2-0 to Germany. Many expect Netherlands to win to nil here and that seems to be the popular bet.
I’ve used Bet365s Bet Builder for this one. I’ve went with Holland to win and under 3.5 goals. Combined them both as I think Northern Ireland may be able to frustrate the Dutch even though I believe Holland still win. This also factors in a lot of results. 3-0, 2-1, 1-0 etc etc. As this is a tight game. Netherlands have conceded in their games against Germany. Martin O’Neill is a savvy manager and so this will be an interesting game.
