First of all – holy crap, what a game by Rangers.
We were 2-0 down at home to Braga and looking as good as dead. And you know what? I got it. That was one game where I sat there and was watching it and was okay with the loss. Because you know what? Braga are a damn good team, and they were better than us.
It sucked to be losing it but hey – beat by the better team. What can you do?
Then we end up winning 3-2 thanks to some Hagi magic. Amazing stuff.
I still expect we will lose the 2nd leg but it will be interesting. Braga certainly can’t score a goal then sit back and defend as their defense did not look good.
Also lets hope Hagi keeps it up and we pay the 4 million buyout clause.
Anyway enough about that. Getting myself excited here. Let’s look at the English Championship:
Birmingham City vs Sheffield Wednesday Betting Tips:
We have an on form team against the coldest team in the Championship at the moment. At the price we will be backing the on form team here.
Birmingham haven’t lost in 7 games. Their games have been tight for the most part but they are getting the job done and I love to see that. A win over Notts Forest. A draw against Brentford and Cardiff City. A win over Bristol City. Some impressive stuff there.
Sheffield Wednesday can’t score. That is their issue at the moment. They put two draws together before losing to Luton and then getting thumped by Reading. They have slipped out of the playoff race and are 12th.
Of course the playoff race is tight still and Birmingham may just be setting their sites on it. They are tied with Wednesday on points.
Overall quality wise? I give the nod to Sheff Wed honestly. But until their offense wakes up, they won’t be able to do it.
Now the interesting thing is Steven Fletcher MAY be back. It’s not 100% yet. That could be the difference maker. Even then he may not be healthy.
We’ll be a bit cautious due to the Fletcher news as that’s the boost they need. If he is playing you may want to consider BTTS instead.

One strategy I often have when it comes to covering tips in a league with a lot of games is I pick a bet to make, then glance through the metrics until one catches my eye. Next I look at the odds for that one to see if it is worth analysis.
Then I dive more into it and decide whether or not to back it or not.
This one jumped out at me when I was looking for an “Over 2.5 goals” game. The bookies lean on no with it being 2.20 odds but I think there’s a solid chance.
Stoke have lost two on the trot but I like them to be up for this game. They should be a match for Cardiff. They lost James McClean which hurts offensively but I still think they can make a game of this. Their defense is a bit of a mess and I think Cardiff can get the goals against them. Cardiff will be confident with recent solid away results.
Basically a game where I feel both teams will be up for it and we can get the goals.
