Well we went from an absolutely amazing betting day to a completely crap one. That was fun.
I mentioned how great the La Liga was on Monday. There was a bet I was tempted to make and didn’t – and it would have lost due to an 87th minute own goal. Then there was the Granada or Draw bet where they blew a 1-0 lead to go down 2-1 in the dying minutes, only to turn it around and tie it up 2-2.
Then there was Sheff Utd to beat Aston Villa.
Sigh.
Sheff Utd scored just before half time. The ball went over the line clearly. Yet goal line technology somehow failed to track it. Then VAR wasn’t called upon to decide.
What an absolute disaster.
What’s notable is that could have an impact on the European qualification and relegation battle as well. So frustrating.
Oh well. Solid 2-0 in the Bundesliga on Tuesday. Had Union Berlin vs Paderborn under 2.5 goals and that one finished 1-0 to Union. Had Freiburg to win at 2.62 odds and that came in too.
It’s also just dawning on me that I didn’t sit down and write any tips for Thursday, the 18th. Oops.
Oh well. Let’s look at the EPL games taking place on the 19th:
Norwich vs Southampton Betting Tips:
Norwich are bottom of the EPL and went into the break generally struggling. However they will be hoping the break has given them a little rest and the ability to change their fortunes. They need to go on a big run but they can still save themselves.
Southampton are likely safe from relegation but can’t afford to be complacent. I guess they could also make a European spot. Southampton have one of the better away records in the league and you have to wonder if in the no crowds type of games if that will be a factor for them.
Both teams have the 2nd worse defense in the league next to Aston Villa. Norwich pciked up a win over Spurs. Norwich should have Onal Hernandez back which will be a boost.
Ralph Hasenhuttl has did a solid job at Soton following that Leicester game. Remember that one? Feels like a lifetime ago.
Honestly I think this should be a good battle. Norwich have been given a lifeline nad need to go for it. Southampton are a solid enough team. Both teams have weak defense.

Tottenham vs Man Utd Betting Tips:
Man Utd are 2.45 favourites against Spurs.
Spurs were probably quite bloody happy at the break as things were going tits up for them and Mourinho. Many injuries, bad form etc. They hadnt won in 3 matches.
Man Utd had just got a great little run together with 5 unbeaten games and wins ovre Man City and Chelsea.
Man Utd are 5th on 45pts and Spurs are 8th on 41pts so it’s all very tight at the top.
Spurs are missing Dele Alli. Man Utd will also have Pogba and Rashford back.
This is one where I could argue on both sides winning and I am really curious to see how they both do. I’ll back goals in this one for a small play.
