We had 6 sports betting tips going yesterday. We had 3 tips in the Euro 2016 Qualifiers, and 3 NFL Betting Tips.
We came so close to a big prize in the Euro 2016 qualifiers. We went for the longshot bet of Scotland or Draw over Germany and they came so close to it – tieing the game to 1-1 with just 15 minutes left. So close and a value bet that in hindsight was the right one.
We went 1-1 with the other bets. Big wins for Northern Ireland and Republic of Ireland.
We also had the Formula 1, and we correctly predicted Lewis Hamilton to win. As we said whoever gets pole position in Italy dominates, and that was the same case here.
We went 1-2 in the NFL tips. Bengals to win was a nice one and they looked solid. Unfortunately Patriots stuttered and struggled, and the Cowboys/49ers didn’t go over thanks to Tony Romo and well….him being Tony Romo.
Still – it was great to watch football again. NFL Network just showed every touchdown from yesterday and that was really cool to watch – some sick rushing TDs there.
Of course Week 1 isn’t quite over, tonight we’ve got two NFL games and we’re going to have bets for both of those. Let’s get to the betting tips for September 8th, 2014:
NFL Betting Tips: Giants vs Lions
In the first game of this Monday Night Football double header, the New York Giants travel to Detroit to take on the Lions.
There’s a lot of questions over Eli Manning and the offense – and pre-season didn’t help matters. The belief in the Giants camp is they will start rocking later in the season – that might be a mind game for themselves to allow them to play without pressure the first few weeks.
Either way – we have to go with Detroit to cover the spread here. The addition of Golden Tate is huge, and now they’ve got two key viable Wide Recievers to throw to. With the double coverage on CJ, Tate could be huge. And with 3 quality running backs – we’re going to hop on the Lions train.
NFL Betting Tips: San Diego Chargers vs Arizona Cardinals
Tight one here with the Chargers +2.5. They’ve got quite the solid team of course, although Rivers doesn’t have as many options to throw to and Gates is going to be getting a lot of the ball. Cardinals will be missing Andre Ellington tonight which is a big loss.
In a game between two similar teams we think this one is going under the point total of 46.5 points. We just find it hard to see both teams racking up the points with both being so solid defensively.
Euro 2016 Betting Tips: Switzerland vs England
While we really like Switzerland and feel they are a fantastic cohesive team unit, we’re going to go towards this new look England here. With a dynamic attack of Welbeck, Rooney and Sterling we feel the 2/1 price has value.
