What a crappy week for sports.
I mean don’t get me wrong – it’s been great so far. We’ve had the finals of the NHL, and the finals of the NBA.
And now it’s over.
This week is still pretty solid – we’ve got UFC Fight Night on the weekend, and F1 Australia. We’ve got the US Open this week. But ugh – we’re now into the Summer where we have a distinct lack of sports.
Always so bloody depressing.
Oh well – we’ll still be your source for daily free sports betting tips. We’ll be tipping everything we can. MLB, Copa America, WNBA – you name it, you can bet on it, and we’ll be tipping it.
Speaking of – let’s get to the betting tips for June 17th, 2015:
US Open Betting Tips
Let’s start with the 2015 US Open. It’s at Chambers Bay – a course that should separate the men from the boys. We’ve had a lot of fun watching the previews for this – you can see some golfers actually feel like they’re out of their element on this course and I don’t blame them. It’s a tricky one.
First of all we’ll take Jordan Spieth to win it. He’d the 2nd favourite next to Rory McIlroy, but we think he has what it takes to get it done. It helps that on a very tricky course, his caddie knows it extremely well. That is the sort of knowledge that honestly will really help in the first few rounds, and should see him springboard to a lead that will be hard to top.
We’ll also be doing each ways bets. Our next bet up is Brandt Snedeker. High odds on him but he’s coming into the US Open on the back of some fine form. We’ve also analyzed this course and one of the big things you will need is scrambling, and that’s where Snedeker shines. We’ll be taking Snedeker to win – but betting each way. More on that below.
Finally we’re going for Hideki Matsuyama based mainly off the same theories as we have for Snedeker. Matsuyama is having the season of his life, and should be there or thereabouts. He’s also yet another one with great stats when it comes to scrambling.
Copa America Betting Tips:
In the Copa America today, we have Brazil vs Colombia. Brazil come into this after a win over Peru, while Colombia had an embarassing loss against Venezuela.
We expect more misery for the Colombians.
Brazil have got a very solid team going as you know – their offense is incredible. But the last year we have seem them tighten up defensively. We just can’t see Colombia breaking them down. The odds are favourable too at 21/20.
Take Brazil for the win.
