It’s Friday, and we’ve got a solid sports weekend ahead of us.
The much anticipated UFC 189 takes place tomorrow night, with Conor McGregor vs Chad Mendes. We’ll have betting tips for that first thing Saturday morning. We just cannot wait for that event – it’s going to be absolutely epic.
With all the focus on that, many are forgetting that we also have the Ultimate Fighter 21 Finale on July 12th, the very night after. With most of the attention focused on UFC 189 we’ll be hoping to sneak in some betting tips for the TUF Finale with the anticipation that the sportsbooks haven’t paid too much attention to it this time around.
We’re also busy keeping an eye on the golf, with the Champions Tour kicking off today. We’ve got action in the John Deere Classic, with 2 of our picks looking good. Zach Johnson and Steve Stricker are both tied for 6th place, with Scott Brown 3 strokes behind them and tied for 41st at the moment. It’ll be the end of Day 3 before we really see how that is going on.
As a reminder, we have Kirk Triplett in the Champions Tour.
Let’s get to the betting tips for July 10th, 2015:
WNBA Betting Tips:
Just the one WNBA Betting Tip today, which is the Indiana Fever -8.5. You have to give the points here. The Stars have struggled and only have a better average of points than Seattle. They also have the 3rd worst shooting % in the WNBA. They’re horrible on the road, and the Indiana Fever, while a 6-6 team, are really getting it together defensively which is huge for them. The Stars do have a few good things going for them but you have to think their weak offense, coupled with the rapidly strengthening offense of the Indiana Fever, will see this become a double points difference.
CONCACAF Gold Cup Betting Tips:
We’ve got two games today with Honduras vs Panama and USA vs Haiti. Only one is worth betting on and that is Honduras vs Panama. Honduras are a much more solid team than Panama but are a nice 7/5 price. Both teams need a win here but Panama, who dominated Haiti, could not get the win and that’s going to put pressure on them. Honduras meanwhile hung in there with the USA very well.
Honduras also have Boniek Garcia back which is huge for them. You could see Panama struggling in the game they played and Honduras know that an early goal will cause Panama to self-combust. Honduras meanwhile are used to losing but they will be able to play without as much pressure.
Take Honduras for the win.
