It’s Wednesday and it’s time for the golf betting tips – what we always do on Wednesdays.
We’re a bit sour after last week. We had Dustin Johnson in the PGA and he was kicking complete butt early on. Unfortunately Saturday was a mess for him. First the weather was a disaster causing his ball to blow away – then he had to spend the whole day(and most of Sunday) realizing he was in the lead and thinking about it and that clearly threw off his game.
To make matters worse we had Lydia Ko to win the LPGA and she was in the lead with 7 holes left….and came 2nd. Arrrrgh.
Such a close week with two almost huge scores that just didn’t come in. So frustrating but oh well it happens.
This week we hope to snag a winner, with four tournaments to pick from. We’ve got the PGA Tour, European Tour, LPGA and Champions Tour and we’ll be betting them all.
Let’s get to it.
Golf Betting Tips:
As a reminder that unless we specify “to win”, for every bet you must bet to win and then choose the each way option.
The one most people care about is the PGA so we’ll go with the Canadian Open first. Our first bet is Luke Donald 22/1. It is nice odds and we’ll go with half a unit on him. He’s got some solid form going for him and has some course history as well.
We’re also on Sean O’Hair 80/1. Risky bet and it’s only quarter unit. This course seems to suit his game well, and he’s not performed too bad this year. Finally we’ll be on Scott Piercy 40/1 with a quarter unit as well. Coming off the back of his Barbasol victory he’s at the top of his game and we hope he can continue that run of form.
Next up is the Omega European Masters. He failed us in the Open, but we’re going to go with Tommy Fleetwood 20/1 this week. We’re hoping he will bounce back strong. We’ve also got Jamie Donaldson 22/1 for a quarter unit. We’d bet more if it wasn’t for the short odds. He’s fantastic on this course.
We’re also on our old friend Victor Dubuisson 25/1 for a quarter unit. We don’t have full confidence in him as he’s been up and down. Some horrendous form at the big events for example, while he’s had some solid results at the lesser events. Erratic is the best way to describe him.
In the LPGA we’re going to go with Amy Yang 14/1. We had a BIG cash with Yang earlier in the season when we bet her 18/1 to win the Honda LPGA Thailand, and we’re backing her this time out.
We’re also on rather risky bets of Haru Nomura 125/1 and Sandra Gal 45/1. You may want to do quarter unit bets on those.
Finally in the Senior Open Championship we will be taking the 6/1 Bernhard Langer to win. If you know the Champions Tour you know what that man is capable of. Our last bet is a half a unit bet on Mark McNulty 125/1.
