You can tell it’s coming into winter (well, for half of the world), when we can safely say that we had a fantastic weekend of sport. The big news is that Lewis Hamilton won his third Formula One World Championship on Sunday with victory in the United States Grand Prix. While there might have been more popular winners of the Drivers’ Championship, I think it’s fair to say Hamilton deserved it through his pure consistency this season. And hopefully you followed our free Formula One betting tips, as Max Verstappen finished an incredible fourth, meaning our bet on him getting a points finish landed comfortably, as did our bet on Sergio Perez to finish in the top six, as he finished a very credible fifth, proving how well Force India are going right now. In the Rugby World Cup, we have the final everyone was expecting, after New Zealand overcame South Africa and Australia beat Argentina. Hopefully we get another classic in this old rivalry. The All Blacks are favourites to win it right now, but it should be a close one next weekend.
In the NFL, we Redskins and the Bucs gave us the game of the week so far, which is not what any of us were expecting, that’s for sure. 31-30 to Washington summed up what turned out to be a great game. Things aren’t getting better for the Steelers or the Colts, which will no doubt be causing their fans some real grief. But, hey, at least their not Cowboys fans, or, worse, Jets fans. Yeah, the Coweboys’ season has just collapsed, but the Jets got within a touchdown of getting one over one Brady and the Pats, yet came up short, yet again.
And in case you forgot, the Manchester derby was awful, as expected. Now, let’s get onto the free sports betting tips for October 26th, 2015.
Oh, and if you followed our free horse racing tips on Saturday, you will have got a 14/1 winner and a 10/1 winner from our fantastic horse racing tipster. You can read his preview of that weekend’s televised horse racing here and see how he got What’s Happening and Easy Road tipped up as winners here.
Monday Night Football Betting Tip:
The Ravens heading out on their travels again can only mean one thing, surely – defeat. Seriously, their road defeats have come at the hands of the Broncos, Raiders and 49’ers, so what chance should they have against the Cardinals? Well, realistically, none. The Raiders put 37 points on them. The 49’ers somehow managed 25. I think Carson Palmer might be in for a busy and fun night.
Arizona are averaging just shy of 34 points a game, second in the NFL at the moment, so I think we can expect points tonight, especially coming from the arm of Palmer. Can the Ravens muster up some points? I think so. It’s not like they’ve been blown away on the road, it’s just that they’ve let some poor teams put a tonne of points on them. The current points spread is 49, and I’m liking the overs on this all day, so take over 49 points as there’s some real value to be had there.
Cardiff vs Bristol City
Not the usual Monday night English Premiership football that we all tolerate, but English Championship action between two teams that are struggling for any consistency. Bristol City, flying his last season, have reverted back to old ways and are shipping goals while struggling to score them. However, their narrow defeat to league-leaders Brighton might have signalled a bit of a revival. It’s just a shame they have to make the trip to Cardiff to find out. Cardiff have had some strong results in their previous four games, two draws away to Brighton and Preston, and two huge wins at home to Middlesbrough and Charlton. It’s this home form that has us going for a tip of Cardiff to beat Bristol City, especially at a huge price of around 7/5. Seriously, the way Cardiff have been going at home, it’s unbelievable value.
NHL Betting Tips:
Just the one tip for tonight’s NHL action, and we really have to take the Coyotes to beat the Leafs in regulation, purely down to how well Arizona played last time out against the Senators compared to how awful the Leafs been in this early stage of the season. The Coyotes go well in Toronto, winning eight out of their last ten visits. I thought the Coyotes might just be marginal favourites, but the books are going Toronto. We have to take the value here and get in the Coyotes.
