Welcome to Fridays sports betting tips.
We’ve got a huge weekend ahead of us. The NFL in particular is at a very, very crucial stage of the season. It’s going to be interesting in the land of American Football on Sunday.
And is the Warriors run finally going to come to an end? Most pundits thought it would happen this week – against either the Pacers or the Celtics. Well they overcame step 1 but now they have to visit Boston and we’re starting to see a couple of injuries.
Going to be a big night tonight. And then they are right back at it tomorrow night against the Milwaukee Bucks.
Of course we’ve also got UFC with Conor McGregor going up against Jose Aldo. It’s a great weekend for fights as we have the TUF Finale tonight headlined by Edgar vs Mendes and it should be a great card. Last night was also UFC with 3 finishes – all by chokes – on the main card which was nice. Although no-one ever likes seeing journeyman Jim Miller lose.
We even have WWE TLC this Sunday.
Let’s get to the betting tips for today:
NBA Betting Tips:
Celtics +6.5: A massive, massive game and we’re still not sure if Klay Thompson is playing. Honestly we hope the Warriors win we really do – we absolutely love streaks. But we just have to take the Boston Celtics here with the points in what has to be an insanely tight game. We can’t wait for it. Celtics are coming into this one running hot as well.
Hornets +3.5: Absolutely love the Hornets lately and they’re coming in here looking for a 4th win in a row. Batum is on fire as well and even without Jefferson, the Hornets are showing they have what it takes. I always love betting when one player is hot and that’s Batum right now – the passing he has going on, holy crap. Take the Hornets here.
Trail Blazers +4: The Suns have been impressive with battling some tiredness and have been energetic – but it’s going to come to a head tonight against the Blazers. The Suns have a few injuries and the Blazers have had a few key losses. They could be coming into this one on their own running win – can’t believe they lost that one against the Cavaliers. We like Lillard and the Blazers to sort their issues out and get the win tonight. Or if they blow it – blow it by 3 points please.
TUF Finale Betting Tips:
We think Tony Ferguson is going to struggle and will bet the underdog Edson Barboza +163 tonight. Barboza is a real pressure fighter and that doesn’t suit Ferguson at all. While Ferguson should be slight favourite we think Barboza should be +120 to +130 and so there is value there. The only question is if Barboza can finish it – this one is likely to go to a decision.
Finally for tonight take Mike Pierce +188 because that dude is one tough fighter who is better than his record suggests. We also have to go with the much more experienced Gabriel Gonzaga +100 who is really a lot better fighter here and should have no problems.
