It’s Saturday, and we’ve got a big day of sports ahead of us.
Along with the usual soccer early in the day and the NBA and NHL, we’ve got an NFL game tonight and UFC On Fox 17. What a card that is going to be. If last week was the Christmas Day in UFC world, then this is like Christmas Day again? Seriously can’t believe following last week we have this amazing card with so many great fights on there.
I mean Dos Santos vs Overeem – you’d buy a PPV with that as the main event, and it isn’t even the main event here! Going to be just an amazing card and I can’t wait.
Alright let’s get to the betting tips for Saturday, December 19th:
UFC On Fox 17:
Going to have to take Donald Cerrone to beat Rafael Dos Anjos in the main event. Dos Anjos is just too heavy a favourite and that’s tilted the odds in Cerrones favour. Since their last fight, we’ve seen a more serious Donald Cerrone and someone who goes in with a better game plan. That was the problem with the first fight against Dos Anjos – Cerrone has that mentality he can just show up for a fight and he’ll win. UFC are casually throwing around the idea of McGregor vs Cerrone already – they know the game better than us, and we think they are also feeling confident Cerrone can get the win.
Also in the heavyweight fight we’d recommend Junior Dos Santos. He’s an excellent fighter and he looked so confident at the weigh-ins and relaxed. That was the big question for us and he passed it with flying colours. Honestly – seeing Cain Velasquez lose was probably good for JDS. After their two fights he was probably thinking the guy was unbeatable. Now he’s been seen as mortal, and we think JDS will take this one.
Unfortunately the odds aren’t too favourable so you’re best to pair him up with another heavy favourite.
Scottish Premier League Betting Tips:
Inverness Caley are a surprise 2.20 odds for this one – and we have to jump on that. It could just be a trap by the bookies – it probably is – but man, that’s a hell of a price. We know Caley have had their struggles recently but it’s nothing like Dundee Utd and their struggles. Utd are an absolute disaster be it at home or away and they have shown no signs of that changing. Take Caley all the way here.
We also like a bet on Over 2.5 Goals in Partick Thistle vs Ross County. Granted, the last game between the two was only a 1-0 game but both teams have the ability to score pretty well down, but also concede. The last 5 games Ross County have been involved in have went over 2.5 goals. We’re banking on that run to continue.
Barclays Premier League Betting Tips:
Just the one tip in the BPL which is due to a surprisingly nice price on Newcastle to beat Villa at 2.05 odds. Newcastle are coming into this game hot with wins over Spurs and Liverpool. Overconfidence shouldn’t be an issue because hey – it’s Newcastle. They’re going up against a Villa team who apparently don’t even know how to win a game anymore. Or for the most part – draw. Surely Newcastle get the win here.
