It has been a fairly boring week in the world of the English Premiership. We saw some controversial goals, sure, with John Terry’s name being at the head of the list, but as far as this season has gone, it was one of the quieter weeks. In fact, all the big guns managed to avoid real shocks, although you could argue Arsenal drawing at Stoke is a shock. However, remember that Stoke have beaten Arsenal’s rivals at the Britannia, so getting a point there is better than most. There were also no real shocks in the FA Cup replays during the week, as Aston Villa, Liverpool and Bolton all avoided the real embarrassment of losing to sides well below them in the league system. So, yeah, not much to write home about this week, is there?
But what’s more important, and what you’ve come for, is the predictions of the legend that is Mark Lawrenson. Of course, if you have been following Lawro recently, it hasn’t been pretty, has it? In fact, his FA Cup special was a horrific beaten for him and all us believers. So did it get better last week with a return to Premiership football? Well, no. Lawro managed four correct results, but no correct scores, which is where the profit can be made. So on the back of a huge loss last week, we come back to Premiership action with another huge loss of -13.61 units which just means Lawro’s predictions for the start of 2016 have really sucked.. We’re now staring into the abyss with a loss of -55.02 units. So can Mark Lawrenson’s predictions for the English Premiership turn the corner as we head into the second half of the season? Well, there’s only one way to find out, and that’s by continuing to check back here every week, even if it is just to point and laugh at the great man.
As ever when it comes to this part of Lawo’s predictions, I have to remind you of our good friends at Bet365, as they are still doing their Bore Draw promotion again this week. Some interesting selections from Lawro for once, I have to admit. I was a bit shocked, honestly, when I saw he was not predicting a win his his beloved Liverpool. Of course, he’s still yet to predict a Liverpool loss this season, but, hey, what do you expect? Anyway, Lawro’s selections should pay a handsome price, and he has to come back to winning ways soon, so maybe this is the week. If you think it is, place your bets at Bet365 through the link below, where you will get up to £200 free and place a bet on the game prior to kick-off on the correct score, half-time/full-time or scorecast market, and if the game ends 0-0 you will get your stake refunded, which is always nice.
