Welcome to the free sports betting tips for February 5th, 2016.
I’m sure you’re on countdown to the Superbowl by now, and you’ve got your menus sorted, your invite list done, or you’re going to the be one hitting up someone else’s Superbowl party. Whatever, for us sports fans it’s the greatest weekend of the year which is about to start. So we only have to get through today, and then Superbowl Weekend is finally upon us. At the start of the week, we expected the line to shift maybe another point in favour of the Panthers, but it’s still sitting strong at -5.5. Will it shift another point over the weekend? If the Vegas oddsmakers are to be believed, then yes it is. So for anyone that got on the Panthers -4.5 when the books opened, no doubt you’re smiling. Still, this is going to be a close one to call, and, as ever, we’ll have a great write-up for you before the first ball is kicked in anger.
Before that, we’ve still got a couple of days of sports betting to get through, so let’s start the weekend with a bang and get onto the free sports betting tips for February 5th, 2016.
English Championship Betting Tip
Brighton versus Brentford in the English Championship this evening. Both teams have shown some greatness as well as some real inconsistency so far this season. But what has tended to remain consistent is that both sides know how to find the back of the net. And on top of that, Brentford’s defence isn’t exactly as safe as houses. So I think we could be in for a few goals tonight. Yes, the odds suggest otherwise, but that gives us a bit of value. I can see Brighton nicking this 2-1 or maybe even 3-1, and it would set them up nicely as we head deeper into the second half of the season, with all-important playoff spots or better a high priority. There is a shade of value on Brighton to win, but for almost the same price, we’ll take over 2.5 goals which should give us a good start to the weekend.
NBA Betting Tips:
I was looking at tonight NBA’s fixtures and nothing really stood out as a real must-watch game. Sure, we have some interesting match ups, that could be close, but nothing is really great on paper. That being said, there are at least a couple of great bets that we’re going to make the most off.
First off, we’re going to start in Brooklyn as the Nets take on the Kings. Sacramento had been flying until a recent six game run saw them slump to a 1-5 stretch, with their road form being extremely poor. So they now head out east to take on the Nets, who have been slumping hard all season, truth be told. However, this should be closer than bare form suggests, as it’s coast-to-coast trip for the Kings, their confidence is shot lately, and 5.5 points for the Nets looks tasty. So start the night with Brooklyn +5.5 and look for a high-scoring tight game.
Speaking of runs of form, the Jazz are building a solid run, and tonight take on the Bucks in what should be a cakewalk to finish this stretch of home games. The Jazz look confident, they’re playing no-frills great ball, and that’s turned into a strong run at home. Can the Bucks beat them? Probably not. Can they keep it close? Well, give that it’s going to be a low-scoring affair by all accounts, it doesn’t seem like the Jazz will blow them away. Yes, Utah will win, but 7.5 points is a lot to be giving away. Take Bucks +7.5 as your other play of the night.
