The final games of Group E in the 2014 World Cup take place on June 25th, 2014.
Switzerland will take on Honduras, while 1st place France take on 2nd place Honduras.
France have probably been the most impressive team of the group stages. Yet despite that, they could hilariously still go out. It’s a long shot, but it could happen.
For France to go out, Ecuador would have to beat them, and Switzerland would have to beat Honduras. But then there is the monumental goal difference that has to be overcome too. France have a goal difference of +6, Ecuador are 0, and Switzerland are -2.
So essentially Ecuador would have to beat France at least 3-0, while Switzerland win 6-0, or similar ridiculous scorelines.
Really – France are most likely through, and the question is if they push up and go for 3 out of 3, or if they sit back and counter and allow their wing backs to do the work on that, knowing full well that Ecuador really need to win.
The most important result is for Ecuador. They know Switzerland stand a good chance of beating Honduras, so that means they most likely need a win. But against France? Eek. It’s going to be a very interesting game between these teams.

France vs Ecuador Betting Tips:
The bookies obviously feel that despite Ecuadors need to win they’re most likely not going to do it. They see this as being a tight affair with France the slight favourites.
The best market for me is Over 2.5 goals. I think both teams can score, and I like Ecuador. They’re going to be pushing and I think this will be a very open games.
4/5 odds on that is a great price and one I’d be all over.

France vs Ecuador Betting Props:
This is where things get interesting and I believe we can make some good money.
I like Both Teams to Score. France have shown some defensive frailties yet they also have been scoring for fun. Ecuador as well are a team that can attack well.
However what I really like is combining Both Teams To Score and Over 2.5 goals. We get a better price of 6/5 on that.
It’s not massive, but 4/5 vs 6/5 when you have to figure both teams will score I think is fair.
It depends I guess on how you think it will go – if you think France are going to be responsible for all the goals or vice-versa then Over 2.5 is the best way to go.
But I think both teams have strong attacks and our simulation likes both teams to score. With Ecuador pushing up and hopefully the Swiss winning, we will see an open attacking game.
