Well on August 6th, 2014 we went with some golf betting tips. In particular, we tipped that Rory McIlroy would finish in the Top 5 in the PGA Championship. He did just that and did one better – winning the bloody thing. Still could not have bet him to win it at 5/1 odds – we went with a top 5 finish based on his consistency.
Great job by Rory, that’s for damn sure. Seriously amazing just how good he is at the moment. It’s one thing to have the skills, but his consistency is just incredible.
Yesterday we went 1-1, for a profitable draw. We lost on “Rangers-Draw” although at 14/1 odds that was a great bet I believe. If Templeton had scored that chance then we probably would have went in 1-0 up, and then Hearts looked likely to score anyway. So 14/1 – a solid price. We won with Arsenal in 90 minutes and as expected they looked absolutely lethal. Man City just looked lethargic – don’t expect that next week though. They’ll turn up.

Capital Cup Betting Tips: Carlisle vs Derby
Derby are the favourites in this one, at 8/13 odds. Away and this early it’s going to be a tight one, but we think Derby are the ones that are going to get the win.
Steve McClaren is a solid manager, and Derby looked very good playing against Rotherham. Carlisle meanwhile looked woeful on the weekend against Luton, and we weren’t impressed at all.
Plus Derby County have one of our favourite players in Johnny Russell. Is it wrong to base a pick off that? Sometimes we do – sad I know. Honestly though, Derby have a really solid team. Lee Grant in goal is a solid player, and they’ve got a good Scottish influence with the likes of Craig Forsyth, Craig Bryson, and Chris Martin. They’ve got a few foreigners to add to the team but most of it is the UK based players which I always like to see. Then you’ve got Leon Best – hopefully he is starting because he is a solid striker. A Best/Russell partnership is almost mouth watering in the lower leagues.
MLB Betting Tips: Houston Astros vs Minnesota Twins
This is a close game, but our MLB Betting System likes the Astros to squeak the win over the Wins at home. They’re going into this at slight underdogs at +110.
This is the first game in the three game series, and is taking place in Houston. The Twins have been on a bad run, losing 6 out of their last 10. We think their bad run is going to continue and our MLB simulation agrees – Astros should be the favourites here and although it’s only a small value price at +110, it’s still just enough for us to take. Probably a more fair price would be -110 but hey if you’re going to give us value guess what? We’re going with it.
