The Boxing Day fixtures can be exciting at times, but I have to say that I was bit disappointed with the action after Christmas. You might be wondering why, but it’s quite simple – all the big guns did as you might have expected. Sure, Arsenal left it late and Liverpool conceded first against Stoke, but there was no real excitement. Yes, we had some high-scoring games and some quality individual performances, but there was nothing to get me excited. Part of that I down to the fact that most of the fixtures just looked boring on paper, of course, but that is going to happen with a league of 20 teams.
Last week, Mark Lawrenson had yet another great week, punctuated with two correct scores. The fact he got the weekend off with a bang with a correct score in the Watford game set us up nicely and the final game on Monday, Hull vs Manchester City, gave us our second correct score of the day. But just how well did Lawro get on last week? Well, he got eight correct results and the aforementioned two correct scores, and I’m sure you know that means a profit has been made, but how big is the profit made by Lawro? Well, it’s just +12.31 units, which is one of his best results of the season so far. The amazing news is that the profit Lawro made last week puts him into profit to the tune of +6.30 units, which is unbelievable!

After a great week last week, Lawro’s predictions are just a little bit bolder than usual. He’s gone for a West Brom win, which pays a huge 9/2, and even going for the Sunderland win is bit bold. If a couple of his correct scores come up, we could be looking at starting 2017 with yet more profit from Mark Lawrenson, which is a sentence I never thought I’d be typing around November time, that’s for sure. Until the new year, enjoy the football and I’ll see you in 2017.
