The week after the FA Cup first round, and although we missed the shocks in the FA Cup, we certainly got one in the English Premiership last weekend. While the big guns all managed to pick up at least one point, Manchester City dropped all three points in a huge 4-0 defeat at the hands of Everton. Did anyone get a few quid on that correct score? Manchester United and Liverpool played out a 1-1 draw, as expected, but Tottenham, Arsenal and Chelsea all managed to pick up wins, which keeps the title race still quite interesting. In Lawro’s prediction title race, there’s no surprise that Liverpool re leading, but his predictions have Chelsea in 5th place and Manchester United in 2nd, while Leicester are 6th based on Lawro’s predictions. Safe to say he’s not on the right lines with that, and his clear Liverpool bias is hilarious – he’s yet to predict a Liverpool defeat this season. Or an Arsenal defeat, to be fair!
Mark Lawrenson had a bit of a stinker when he made his predictions for the FA Cup Third Round, but did he get back to winning ways when the Premiership started up again? Well, he correctly predicted four correct results, but only managed to get one correct score, which was the obvious 1-1 draw between Manchester United and Liverpool. That means that last week Lawro ended last week with a loss of -4.10 units. The reason? Well, he predicted so many 1-1 draws and only one of them came up. Did we expect anything less? That means his season has gone into a loss, to the sum of -2.14 units.
