Tonight we have two teams facing elimination on their home court as the Milwaukee Bucks and Memphis Grizzlies look to force game seven. These are two really different series that have themselves at the same level.
For Milwaukee, they won game one and nearly won game two before absolutely destroying the Raptors in game three. Since then, they’ve lost the last two by deciding margins and it feels like the momentum in this series has shifted. Toronto has the much deeper team and they are able to make more adjustments than the Bucks as we’ve seen with Norman Powell taking on a bigger role. The Milwaukee crowd should be loud for this one.
For the Grizzlies, they’ve won two games with both of them being the ones that they played at home. The ones that they played in San Antonio weren’t even close. They head back to the friendly confines tonight, but the Spurs smell blood in the water. Both of these games could be good.
NBA Betting Tips:
Memphis is a fighting team, but they don’t really have much beyond Marc Gasol, Zach Randolph and Mike Conley. Sometimes that’s enough, but the loss of Tony Allen really hurt them in this series and they will be paying for that Chandler Parsons signing for years. They should grit and grind their way to a close game, but not quite close enough. The Spurs have proven that they are the better team. Game three was a punt by Poppovich and game four was close enough that it could’ve gone either way. Tonight will be all about the Spurs -4.
The Bucks and Raptors series is a bit harder to pick. The Bucks missed a ton of open shots in game four that could’ve swung that game and this series, but they didn’t and then game five was the one where the Raptors dominated. I think the Bucks have played better overall in this series, but the Raptors have played better lately. Milwaukee still has the best player in this series and I really like the idea of Giannis at home in an elimination game. The Raptors first round blues should continue tonight and the Bucks -1.5 should force game seven.
MLB Betting Tips:
One of the nice surprises of the early season was Kendall Graveman of the Oakland Athletics. He looked really good in his first couple of starts before a quick stint on the disabled list. He returns tonight to face the Los Angeles Angels. They have a decent offense, but when you take out Mike Trout it just doesn’t scare me. If he can steer clear of Trout, he should be able to pick up right where he left off. His offense faces Ricky Nolasco who is not an inspiring pitcher at all. I like Athletics +123 to get it done on the road tonight.
The Blue Jays have come out with some quiet bats, but they should wake up against Adam Wainwright who has really struggled early. Unfortunately, it might not be enough to win as Casey Lawrence takes the mound for Toronto. He got roughed up in his first major league start and could see that happen again tonight against the Cards. Give me the over 8.5 runs on this one.
