After a break for the international fixtures, and finally a win for my beloved Scotland, albeit in shaky circumstances, we get back to domestic action. Last time we met, Chelsea were leading the way, and that remains the same, although they were mad to work for it against Stoke. However, there was a real shock, as Arsenal went down 3-1 away to West Brom. It brought more calls for Arsenal Wenger to go, and to be honest, Arsenal were shocking. You think back to boring, boring Arsenal who would shut up shop, and I can only assume the Gunners fans would welcome those days back in a heartbeat. Leicester continued to rack up the wins, this time beating West Ham 3-2 in an absolute thriller.
A fortnight ago, Lawro had made a small profit after a weekend of FA Cup action, and he decided to play things safe with his predictions. The one prediction that sticks out like a sore thumb here is that Lawro is predicting a 1-1 draw between Burnley and Tottenham. Spurs are trying to mount a title challenge, while Burnley are just treading water right now. One side’s been playing some beautiful football, the other team play in claret and blue. Apart from that, Lawro really has decided to play it safe again, but it has been working for him of late, and he is sitting in profit by taking very few risks, so I am definitely not complaining about Mark Lawreson’s predictions, as he’s made me a nice profit so far this season.
