It’s been a hectic week for fans of the Lawro audit, as we’ve had midweek fixtures sandwiched in between two weekends. Of course, I love it and I’m sure you do too. Although I will tell you who isn’t loving it as much are Liverpool fans, after their side drew 2-2 with Bournemouth and all but consigned themselves to a scrap for a Champions League sport instead of pulling away from the floundering chasers. To be fair, it’s the same for Manchester City, as they knew they had to beat Chelsea at Stamford Bridge, but it wasn’t to be. Spurs were the other big winners in the midweek fixtures, as they’re now showing they could be the ones to really take the fight to Chelsea in the closing stages of the season. While Swansea isn’t a tough place to go right now, beating the Swans 3-1 in the fashion that Spurs did was testament to the club’s fighting spirit which they’ve shown for most of the season.
Speaking of fighting spirit, the same can be said of Lawro. We had all but written him off early in the season, but he’s fought back to predict wins for Liverpool almost every match and he’s also still managed to make us a very healthy profit. But did he manage it again this week? Well, the big man started out on Tuesday with two correct scores, so how do you think he got on? Yeah, Mark Lawrenson made yet another profit with his predictions, turning in a tasty 9.20 units of profit, in a midweek madness we won’t forget in a hurry. That means those of you who have followed Lawro’s predictions this season, you will have made a great profit so far of +59.78 units for the season. So for a £10 unit stake, Lawro’s followers would have £597.80 of profit in their accounts.

Looking at Lawro’s predictions this week, and he’s stopped taking the safe line, it seems. Well, at least a little bit, as he’s predicted draws for Champions League chasing Liverpool and Arsenal, who are away to Stoke and Crystal Palace respectively. To be fair, neither place is fun to travel to when you’re needing a win, so I see the method in his madness. Apart from those draws, it looks like business as usual for the prediction legend, and he’s staying firmly on board the Leicester City bandwagon, even though they’re away to Everton, always a tough place to go.
