Last night, the Golden State Warriors closed out their series against Utah in commanding fashion and moved to 8-0 in the playoffs. They know await the winner of the Rockets and Spurs series. That could be awhile is this series is currently tied 2-2 with game five taking place tonight.
This has been an interesting one so far as the Spurs were absolutely rocked in game one and looked like they were toast. They came back to win the next two before dropping one in Houston on Sunday. The series heads back to San Antonio tonight with the Spurs needing a win to maintain their home court advantage.
Another big game takes place in the NHL playoffs tonight as the Rangers and Senators do battle in game six of their series from New York. Ottawa is up 3-2 in this series, but both teams have won all of their home games and the Rangers hope that continues tonight. Tonight should be a great night of sports.
NBA Playoffs Betting Tips:
It feels like the Spurs really figured something out in this series. They looked great in game two and three in wins and didn’t look too bad in game four’s loss. They’ve won the rebounding battle in the last three games The problem there was that the Rockets shot 52% from the field. Houston shot 44% from three in their two wins and under 32% in the two losses. They are living and dying by the three and the variance of three-pointers should be on the Spurs side in this one. The home court should help too as the Spurs look to erase the memory of that game one loss. The line is a bit high, but we’re yet to see a close game in this series and I doubt we’ll start tonight. Spurs -5.
NHL Playoffs Betting Tips:
The Rangers are tough at home and they are a high powered offense. Additionally, the last four games have been an over or a push. Take away some crazy Oilers games and this has been one of the highest scoring series of the playoffs. I think the Rangers are likely to force a game seven against Ottawa, but I feel even stronger that this game will once again go over 5 goals.
MLB Betting Tips:
Adam Wainwright was once one of the top pitchers in the game, but time comes for us all. He has a 6.30 ERA on the young season. He’s been hit especially hard in his road starts, lasting just 4 2/3s per start. Dan Straily of the Marlins doesn’t inspire a ton of confidence, but he has looked good in his home starts. The thing I am liking about this match-up though is the Miami offense. Christian Yelich, Giancarlo Stanton and Marcel Ozuna are off to great starts and they should feast on the Wainwright today. Miami -111.
The other game that is popping out to me tonight is Seattle -112 at Philadelphia. Seattle has one of the top offenses in the game and I love the match-up with Jared Eickhoff who is hittable. Ariel Miranda has looked solid this year and will see a boost by facing this lowly Phillies offense.
