The Cavaliers face the Raptors on national TV tonight in a match-up of two of the best teams in the Eastern Conference. You would have to think that the Raptors have had this game circled on their schedule for some time as they are constantly overlooked while playing some of the best basketball in the league.
Unfortunately for them, they will most likely be without Kyle Lowry and DeMar DeRozan is listed as probable for this one. Injuries to two of their best players right before they play their main rival is not what they had in mind for this game. While they are a deep team, it’s hard to compete in this league without a superstar especially when LeBron is on the other side of the court.
With the Cavs getting Isaiah Thomas back, they have looked really scary at times and it’s hard to think they won’t get things done on the road tonight. This should be a heck of a game even without Lowry and we can’t wait to watch it tonight.
NBA Betting Tips:
The Cavs -3 have owned the Raptors over the past several seasons and while this game is in Toronto where the Raptors are great, the injuries should mess with them just like they had the other day against the Heat. Cleveland comes into this one well rested and wanting a win as they have struggled recently. I expect someone in this game to put on a show for the national audience and the Cavs to win.
San Antonio -3 at the Lakers, what gives? This is one of the best teams in the league against one of the league’s lottery bound franchises. No Kawhi Leonard, but there hasn’t been Kawhi Leonard for much of this season. There is nothing about the Lakers that makes me think they can compete in this game. The offense is just not good and the Spurs are the Spurs. This is a weird one.
I’m a bit worried about the Clippers tonight against the Kings. They are still without Blake Griffin and they beat the Warriors last night off a career high 50 points by Lou Williams. That’s a big game and hard to bring the full effort the next night against a team like the Kings. While they certainly impressed and showed us they aren’t dead yet, there is a certain amount of hangover that should effect them tonight and the Kings +1.5 are a nice play at home.
NHL Betting Tips:
The Capitals have been really getting it done at home this season. They are 18-5 at home this season and have won 10 straight there. Braden Holtby has been a huge part of that and he will be in net tonight for the Capitals. This is one of the top teams in the league this regular season and they are a great value here tonight. We like the way the Canes have played this year, but the Capitals at home are just on a completely different level right now. Capitols -144 is a great play here tonight.
