Saturday the 14th of November and we had a mixed day yesterday. While Scotland and Ireland couldn’t produce the goals we wanted, in a fast and furious game, we were right thinking that Germany wouldn’t get anywhere near the 9 goals the bookies were predicting. The question in our office watching Germany win 4-0 was is Gibraltar are now officially better than Brazil?
Elsewhere, Dave Chisnall battered in the majority of 180s against Keegan Brown. The match itself was fantastic, and Brown will be sick at losing such a decent lead. Still, he’s a player to watch over the next few years, and along with Michael Smith and potentially Rowby Rodriguez, darts is in very capable hands going forward.
Our luck didn’t run into the NHL, though, with the Devils continuing their hot streak, and the Penguins and Leafs not putting on the extravaganza we were all hoping for. Although with two Scotsmen in the office celebrating a big win over the Irish, the attention was elsewhere and they weren’t too upset over the final scores.
Anyway, another mixed bag of sports today, with more European Championship Qualifiers to get stuck into, as well as more hockey, darts and some rugby union as the Autumn Internationals continue. The big guns of the rugby union world head to the northern hemisphere to take on their European counterparts, and if last week was anything to do by, there’s some great action in store.

Switzerland vs Lithuania Betting Tips
If you’ve been following our tips during the European Championship Qualifying, you’ll know that we love the Swiss. Almost too much, unfortunately. They are a fantastic attacking team, but they just can’t seem to get the goals when it matters. They battered Slovenia and San Marino, but came up short in the goal department. However, something has to give, and we think the Swiss have learnt their lessons and should dismantle the Lithuanians with great efficiency. Luton vs Tranmere
2nd against 23rd here, and the odds would suggest both teams would be closer in the league. Luton are around Evens, and they look good for the win here. Luton to beat Tranmere is a bet that has us salivating simply because of the odds. Perhaps the bookies know something we don’t, but we don’t think so. There’s been a lot of draws recently for Tranmere, but it’s been against mid-table opposition – Luton are a far different prospect than Stevenage of Wimbledon at the moment. A huge price, and we love it.

Phil Taylor will have bad memories of facing Michael Smith at the tail end of the year, with Smith knocking him out of the World Championship last December. Will history repeat itself at the Grand Slam of Darts? Maybe, but we can’t see it. Our darts tipster thinks that with Michael van Gerwen out of the running, Phil Taylor will know this is his chance, and Smith will be punished. However, what Smith WILL beat Taylor on is thwe 180s. He’s a big price of around 8/11 to score more 180s than Taylor, and Smith is a power scorer on the treble 20, while Taylor tends to mix it up with great effect – look for Taylor to notch up a lot more 177s and 174s than Smith, while Smith smashes in the maximums.

Scotland vs New Zealand
Scotland will be bouncing after their big win over Argentina last week – but the scoreline shows huge problems with the Scottish defense, as the Argentines should not have got 31 points at Murrayfield. Even if Scotland did manage 41. They are not going to get anywhere near 41 points against the All Blacks.
Yes, New Zealand are ringing the changes after last week’s win over England, but a team that includes Dan Carter is not going to lie down. The handicap is -21 points, and we think New Zealand will beat Scotland by a considerable margin, as there are going to be a lot of Kiwis with something to prove, and what better way of doing that than destroying a competent Scotland team? Get on New Zealand -20 to beat Scotland and watch as Dan Carter continues to add more points onto his all-time points record.
NHL Betting Tips for November 15th, 2014:
Just the two NHL tips for this evening, although there is a full card, so we’re spoilt for choice.
First up, we think Nashville as perhaps the surest thing of the night over Winnipeg. The Jets have somehow scraped wins without scoring heavily, and that is going to be an issue against the how Predators. Filip Forsberg is pulling the strings for Nashville, and he should be looking to get on the scoresheet again tonight. The Jets will need to find goals, but it’s going to be hard against a solid D like the Nashville’s. The price is good for what we consider a good thing, so get on Nashville to beat Winnipeg.
Elsewhere, we love Toronto over Buffalo, but the price is too short. So look to the spread and get on Toronto -1.5 to beat Buffalo and watch the Sabres’ defense crumble as the Leafs bounce back from last night’s defeat. They should score for fun against the woeful Sabres.
