The baseball season is underway and the World Champions haven’t wasted any time, getting off to a great start. They are 4-1 with a great match-up again tonight. They’ve had a friendly start to the season, but that doesn’t mean anything. Just think about the Cubs last season who had a World Series hangover that seemingly lasted until June. This Astros team is ready for a big season and they seem like a lock to get back to the playoffs.
Speaking of the playoffs, they are getting crazy close in the NBA. There is a really interesting match-up tonight between the Cavaliers and Raptors. The Raps have dominated all regular season, but the Cavs are finally starting to click. This has seemed like the Eastern Conference Finals match-up all year and tonight could be a preview of what that might look like. Have the Raptors learned anything about stopping this team? We might find out.
NBA Betting Tips:
This game means a lot more to the Raptors than it does the Cavs. They are the top seed in the Eastern Conference and have spent the year remaking themselves as a team that can compete in the playoffs. They have updated their offense and they have one of the top benches in the league. I think they are going to see this line and it’s going to motivate them. Honestly, it’s disrespectful and it should motivate them. The Raptors +1 deserve better against one of the worst defenses in the league.
The Spurs are so hot right now. They need to go 5-0 to finish the season with 50 wins. They’ve done that 18 years straight so I wouldn’t put it past them, but even if they don’t they are going to finish strong. They are 8-2 over their last ten and looking to lock up the #4 seed in the West. They draw a nice match-up against the try-hard Clippers and I see the Spurs continuing their winning ways. Spurs -1.5 is a nice play.
MLB Betting Tips:
The Astros have Justin Verlander going for them today against the Orioles and that alone is a huge advantage. Throw in that the Orioles are starting Mike Wright Jr. and his career 1.6 HR/9 and this one gets downright unfair. I like the Astros a lot tonight, Houston -1.5 is how much I like them.
The Brewers lost to the Cardinals yesterday, but today’s match-up is far more favorable of them. They have their top pitcher in Chase Anderson on the mound going against the Cardinals fifth starter in Jack Flaherty. That is always a solid play and the Brewers -138 should probably be a heck of a lot higher than this.
My favorite play of the night has to be the Rockies -109 at the Padres. The Padres are starting Tyson Ross in this one and he hasn’t had a great start in almost two years. He’s been on the comeback trail from injury and the implosion chances for him are very high here. The Rockies offense is dangerous and the Padres defense is short handed. All over the Rox today.
