I don’t usually go over the previous day’s record here, but yesterday we had a very nice 3-0 night. Both of our NBA picks came in and the Cowboys won big on Monday Night Football. I hope you all were able to follow along and cash some tickets this morning. It always feels good to help put money in people’s pockets.

Tonight we have the return of the college basketball season. Let’s take a quick look at the opening season odds for the National Championship:

  • Michigan State +800
  • Kentucky +900
  • Kansas +950
  • Duke +1000
  • Memphis +1200
  • North Carolina +1300
  • Louisville +1500
  • Florida +1600
  • Villanova +2000
  • Virginia +2500
  • Gonzaga +3000
  • Maryland +3000
  • Texas Tech +3000
  • Arizona +3500
  • Oregon +3500

With the nature of the NCAA Tournament, it’s pretty crazy to make a bet on the tournament this far out. That said, Michigan State looks like quite a play. They are returning most of their key players from last year, a team that made the Final Four. I also like North Carolina who have what could be the best freshman/future draft pick in the class in Cole Anthony. Learn that name, you’ll be hearing it a lot this season.

We have a tip on some college basketball tonight as well as college football and the NBA. Let’s get into it.

NBA Betting Tips:

Los Angeles Lakers at Chicago Bulls: This is a homecoming of sorts for Anthony Davis who is from Chicago and grew up watching the Bulls. He’s been teasing that he could sign with the Bulls next season and you know he will want to show out here in front of friends, family, and potential employers.

The Bulls defense picked up where they left off last year and I just don’t see much from them here tonight. The Lakers are playing with a chip on their shoulder and I think they win big here.

Bet Lakers -7

College Basketball Betting Tips:

Kansas vs. Duke: Duke once again has a great team with some of the best players in the country, but the roster balance is still off as it was last year. They lack shooting which will end up costing them in the long run this season.

Kansas is the kind of match-up that will be difficult for them as Kansas is just as talented with better floor spacing. They will be led by Devon Dotson who will be their go-to scorer and Isaiah Moss is a great outside shooter. They Jayhawks have their own issues, but they should be able to score here while the Duke offense will clog at times.

Bet Kansas -2

College Football Betting Tips:

Kent State at Toledo: I am not quite sure why this line is so low. Toledo is undefeated at home this season while Kent State is just 1-4 on the road with a string of losses of late. Toledo is at their best when they run the ball and Kent State is allowing 250 yards per game on the ground. This is a nice home match-up for them and I think they cover the spread tonight.

Bet Toledo -6.5
