A rough 0-2 last night.
The Pistons just didn’t have it on the road at Indiana. They were a -1 favorite and lost the game outright. I thought that line was a bit odd at the time and perhaps it should’ve been more of a red flag.
I’ve been kicking myself all night about Wizards -5. They ended up losing outright to the Heat at home. I laid out in the preview how winning against the same team two games in a row is really hard in the NBA, but went with the play anyway. That turned out to be a mistake.
We should bounce back tonight with three strong tips that I will give to you now.
Utah Jazz vs. Orlando Magic Betting Tips:
Speaking of kicking myself, I thought we should be going against the Jazz as much as possible right now and I missed the opportunity last night. I won’t make that same mistake here again.
The Jazz are without Rudy Gobert who is the center to pretty much everything they do and now Ricky Rubio is questionable for this one. That’s about everything else that they do. The Jazz are yet to win a road game this season and they are simply not that reliable.
Orlando has been one of the surprises of the season and they should get the job done tonight. Utah is on a back-to-back, they are beat up and the stink on the road. Magic -7 is a gift.
Golden State Warriors vs. Boston Celtics Betting Tips:
The Warriors had won seven straight and looked like the team to beat in the NBA until they ran into the buzzsaw that is the Boston Celtics on Thursday. Not only did they lose, they were held under 90 points for the first time in maybe forever. That was a bad shooting game plus a great defense that just didn’t add up to much for them.
That said, the Warriors are still the very best team in the NBA and they are still going to wallop teams like the Sixers. Philly plays at a high pace and they give up lots of points. That plays right into the Warriors’ hands.
Golden State should be highly motivated to reassert themselves here tonight and I just don’t see what Philly can possibly do to stop them. Golden State -8.5 because the line should be -12. The Warriors will show us just how good they can be again tonight.
Boston Celtics vs. Atlanta Hawks Betting Tips:
The Boston Celtics have won 14 straight and are showing no signs of slowing down. Kyrie Irving is wearing a mask, Jayson Tatum is looking like a veteran and the defense is clicking in every way. Did you really think we’d stop riding them now? This team is on fire.
We’re taking the Celtics -6.5 tonight and will continue to take them until they give us a reason not to. This is the best regular season team we’ve seen thus far and the only true reliable bet. Yeah, we’re all over Boston tonight.
