A great 3-0 record last night.
For the first time all season our system picked the Hawks -1.5 to grab a win and they did easily over the Wizards, winning by 14. Atlanta absolutely exploded in the fourth quarter with a 35-23 score in the final quarter.
The Bulls were another pick and they continued their winning ways by beating the Knicks by five at home. This team is really something as of late and while I’m not sure they are a playoff team, they are really fun to watch and Fred Hoiberg seems like a great coach when given the right personnel.
We picked the Warriors -11 and said we would go as high as -12 for this game. They ended up winning by 25. Maybe we were being a bit cautious there as this Warriors team did not disappoint last night.
New York Knicks vs. San Antonio Spurs Betting Tips:
This will be the third in four nights and second half of a back to back for the Knicks who have lost their last three games. It would seem to be an easy pick for the Spurs, until you look at the line. 12.5 is a lot of points.
The Spurs have played like the Spurs you expect as of late, but a lot of the games have been pretty close. They have a Net Rating of just 3.6 in December despite a 10-4 record. They win, but they play close. Last season, both games between these two were decided by eight points or less.
The Knicks +12.5 are my pick here. The Spurs should win this one, but I think it’ll be a lot closer than this.
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Minnesota Timberwolves Betting Tips:
Two great offensive teams, two terrible defenses. These teams are some of the most exciting young teams in the NBA right now, but they have not been able to get the stops this season. In the month of December the Bucks have the worst defensive rating while the Wolves rank 23rd. That’s not good and these two teams should just be trading scores all night long with a stop to be seen.
Over 214 just might be my favorite play of the day here. Both of these teams have elite offensive players. Giannis and KAT could really put on a show tonight as they battle for the title of best young big man in the league tonight in Milwaukee.
Detroit Pistons vs. Orlando Magic Betting Tips:
Orlando has lost nine straight and tonight gets a Pistons team that matches up with their weaknesses pretty damn well. I feel like a broken record here, but Andre Drummond could have a great night with Nikola Vucevic, Aaron Gordon and Evan Fournier all unlikely to play in this one. Throw in a little revenge for Tobias Harris and this is shaping up to be a great chance for Detroit to improve their record.
The line on this one is actually a lot lower than expected which also bodes well for Detroit here. The Pistons -4.5 is a strong play here.
