The Spurs did exactly what we thought they would do last night as they beat the Raptors handily at home. DeMar DeRozan definitely took that trade personally and went off, netting his first career triple double. We also saw LaMarcus Aldridge have a strong game as the lack of big time centers went against Toronto here. It was an emotional night for all, but DeRozan seemed to take this the most personally.

I was kicking myself after not going with my gut and the numbers on the Rockets last night. That Eric Gordon injury scared me too much, but that seems silly now. They were getting +9 and ended up winning this game outright. How? James Harden, of course. A 40+ point triple double and a game-winning overtime three pointer that seemed impossible.

I mean, what? That’s amazing. I’m now very worried about my Giannis Antetokounmpo MVP ticket.

Atlanta Hawks vs. Milwaukee Bucks: The Bucks are definitely going to win this one. They are at home where they have been awesome and Atlanta is terrible. The only thing that worries me about this one is the Bucks covering this huge spread when they know they play again tomorrow. We talk a lot about back to backs in this league, but sometimes the first one can be just as daunting.

Brooklyn Nets vs. Memphis Grizzlies: I really want to take the Nets here. Memphis has really been struggling of late and Mike Conley is listed as questionable. The Nets just aren’t the kind of team I feel comfortable backing on the road, even with their decent road record.

Dallas Mavericks vs. Boston Celtics Betting Tips:

I’m not fooled by the Mavericks last win on the road, I know who they really are. Our only loss of the week was going against them at Charlotte and they won just their third road game of the season. That was a nice win, but there is a huge difference between at Charlotte and at Boston.

Boston has been an up and down, frustrating team for most of the season, but they have gotten it done at home. They are 11-5 against the spread as a home favorite and I think they make that twelve here.

Indiana Pacers vs. Chicago Bulls Betting Tips:

The Pacers are great and nobody seems to realize it. They’ve won five straight and twelve of their past fourteen games. This team is really good on both ends of the floor and they just aren’t getting the respect that they deserve. Victor Oladipo is healthy and when he is I think this team is elite.

They play the Bulls, who aren’t elite. They’ve been playing decent as of late, but that is more the result of schedule than anything else. They haven’t played what I’d consider a really good team since December 17th when they lost to OKC by 25. This will be a similar result and this line should probably be double what it is.
