A 1-0 night with our lone unified pick.
We had the Milwaukee Bucks -15 as we expected them to flex their muscle. They did so with a convincing 120-99 victory to go up 2-0 in the series.
We opposed each other on the Pacers vs Celtics game and it was a half point decider as the Celtics had a big 4th quarter, winning 99-91.
We also opposed on the Rockets vs Jazz game and Graeme was the winner there with another big performance from the Rockets. James Harden logged a triple double.
It’s Thursday, April 18th and we’ve got three games on the board. All three are tied 1-1 in the series as they switch venues.
Let’s get to it:
76ers vs Nets Game 3 Betting Tips:
Graeme: The Philadelphia 76ers lost Game 1 to the Nets but bounced back strong in Game 2. To their credit, the Brooklyn Nets played damn well and put up 123 points…just not enough against an unstoppable Philly team.
There are some serious question marks over Philly. Joel Embiid is still battling his knee issues. Their motivational levels are weird too. If they come into this game too confident or cocky they’ll get caught out. I think the fact that the Nets offense put up so many points against them will stop that being an issue though.
I also think the Embiid situation is a good one – it’ll force Philly to focus on winning so he can rest. Or at least they can take say a 3-1 lead then he can rest – you know the drill.

Vin: Philly once again has Joel Embiid listed as questionable here and he’ll likely be a gametime decision. This didn’t effect them too much in game two as Ben Simmons had a great game, but that could be a different story on the road.
The interesting thing about this series to me is how the Nets have shot the three ball. Even in the game two loss they shot over 40% from deep which should help them as things switch to Brooklyn. I think they really let it fly here and if they shoot over 40% again that they can win this one.

Nuggets vs Spurs Game 3 Betting Tips:
Vin: Since 2005, the Spurs are 6-1 ATS coming off a loss in game two. Throw in the fact that this is the young Nuggets first playoff road game and the fact that teams typically shoot better on the road, and this is the easiest pick of the night for me.
I like the Nuggets in this series still, but this game feels like a guaranteed loss.
Spurs -4
Graeme: Denver is always a tricky place to go. The Spurs managed to win the first game however lost the second one 114-105. This should be an interesting one in San Antonio. Jamal Murray stepped up as expected in Game 2.
Spurs weren’t as disciplined in Game 2 as they were in Game 1 which I expected. I think we see a disciplined and professional performance tonight to take the lead in the series. https://www.Bovada.lvSpurs -4
Warriors vs Clippers Game 3 Betting Tips:
Vin: This is the toughest game to pick in my opinion. The Warriors blew a historic lead in game two, but at the same time it was because of just how good the Clippers played. This wasn’t the comeback where the team shot great from three, they played their game and they came back. Lou Williams got hot and was unstoppable, which could only happen more in front of a hot home crowd.
That said, there is some question about that. There’s been talk of a lot of Warriors fans being at this game because of LA. Also, there was a long period with Stephen Curry on the bench that definitely swung this game. The Clips have had no answer for him in this series and if he stays out of foul trouble, they still won’t.
Golden State is the most on/off team I’ve ever followed, but if they aren’t going to be “on” after that terrible loss than they deserve to lose.

Graeme: Warriors have their issues. I knew they’d get complacent and lose one but I didn’t expect it in such a fashion.
