A 1-1 record last night.
We got the loss as the Sixers, who were favored by -3 on the road, lost to the Orlando Magic. I said before the game didn’t quite get this one, but I get it now. Orlando is well built to defend against the Sixers. Something about that Nikola Vucevic/Aaron Gordon frontline that causes issues for Al Horford/Joel Embiid. I’ll be keeping an eye on the games between these two teams in the future.
One team that didn’t let us down was the Milwaukee Bucks. I knew they would come out strong after that bad loss against the Sixers on Christmas day and that’s exactly what happened. They won by 26 without Giannis Antetokounmpo and this one was never in doubt. Ersan Ilyasova got the start in Giannis’ place and he finished with 18 points and 17 rebounds in just 24 minutes. While Khris Middleton led the way with 23 points in 25 minutes.
A bit late getting these up today, but we have a full slate of games to work with. Let’s get some winners going.
Milwaukee Bucks vs. Orlando Magic Betting Tips:
We’re going right back to these two teams tonight. Why? Because the Bucks are a much, much better shooting team than the Sixers and they will completely exploit that here. They’ve played the Magic twice this season and won both games by 9 or more.
Giannis is day-to-day here, but if he plays I think they dominate. If he doesn’t, I think they dominate. -11 is a lot to lay on the road on back-to-back nights, but this team is just too good and the Magic are also on a back-to-back. Orlando really won’t be able to keep up in the three-point shooting tonight.

Los Angeles Lakers vs. Portland Trail Blazers Betting Tips:
The Lakers are coming into this one having lost four straight games and have LeBron James listed as questionable. That is not an ideal situation for them, but it’s one that should full lock them in. This is their first game since Christmas and I think they will be ready to grab the win here.
Without LeBron will hurt on most nights, but Portland isn’t one of them. That’s because the Blazers have one of the most depleted front courts in the NBA and the Lakers have Anthony Davis. The Lakers also have a strong rotation of centers that are really going to make it difficult to score down low for the Blazers.
While I love me some Damian Lillard, the size of the Lakers is really going to be an issue for them. I think this is a strong pick without LeBron James and if he ends up playing, it’s my play of the day. Let’s go.
