Welcome to the sports betting tips for January 2nd, 2015.
Hope everyone has fully recovered from those New Years Hangovers – although props to the people who haven’t actually hit them yet. 2 of my friends are like that – it’s 4pm on January 2nd as I write this and they’re still drunk and wearing the party hats from New Years Eve. Very impressive.
Also it was so weird – but the gym today was just PACKED! I belong to a small gym where there’s only usually 3 people there when I enter. Well surprise surprise I walked in at noon and the place was jam packed to the rafters.
So weird that!
Alright well it’s January 2nd, 2015 and we’re a little bit late with tips today. We’ll be doing a lot more tomorrow I expect with the big NFL games, NBA and UFC coming up.
Today we’re going to analyze all 8 NHL Games:
NHL Betting Tips for January 2nd, 2014:
Panthers vs Sabres: These teams play for the 4th time this season. Florida have won 2 out of the 3 – and even the one the Sabres won was tight with Sabres in OT. Sabres have Ristolainen back and he’s been quite a loss. He’ll return to the 2nd line, partnering up with Zadorov. Sabres are a nice price of 2.25 and we’ll go with that, despite Luongo batting perfect against Buffalo with 3 shutouts.
Devils vs Canadiens: Devils are starting the rookie goalie Keith Kinkaid tonight, and we think the Habs would do well here regardless of who is in net. However with Kinkaid in- we’ll take the Habs for the win. 1.71 odds there.
Lightning vs Penguins: A thrilling game here. Both teams have played once this season and both have a win – and this is the tiebreaker game. Penguins have Downie back which is huge for them, and we think he is someone that will be a difference maker in this game. Take the Penguins for the win.
Hurricanes vs Flyers: These two played December 13th and the Flyers ran out rampant. Hurricanes miss Jeff Skinner tonight too. Jordan Staal is back but you can tell he’s being eased into it. Bet The Flyers.
Leafs vs Wild: First game of the season for these two. Brodin is back for the Wild which will be big. Wild form has been rather poor in the last month, but the Leafs have been abysmal. Have to go with the Wild to win here – 1.68 odds.
Oilers vs Avalanche: Big changes in the Avs lineup with the line changes and we think they will come up big with that. It just feels like the move the Avs need. Go with Avs -1.5 at 2.45 odds.
Islanders vs Flames: Getting 2.05 odds on the overs here is great. Flames offense is confident and that’s a good thing. They’re both great at scoring goals and conceding goals and racking up the shots. We think this will be a very competitive game and can’t pick a winner – but think the fans will be the winners, with a goalfest out there. Take Over 5.5 goals.
